Simple question who is the better player/ goalscorer.

Lets see once and for all, the only one performing is Lukaku he is far superior even the most deluded Liverpool fan has to admit this one.............don't they?

Always preferred Lukaku myself, but it has to be said that Benteke is playing for a side that doesn't suit him whereas Everton play to Lukakus strengths. And while Villa played in a way more suited to their (former) big Belgian, they haven't exactly been the best side around to showcase your talent.

As said above, Lukaku has the team set up for him and they play to his strengths. Setting a team up for an individual isn't Klopp's style and Benteke is struggling to adapt to how we're playing, and I have to be honest I'm unsure if he ever will. Also, from Lukaku's perspective, this question being asked right now is helped by him going through a fantastic purple patch, but we have seen before he can struggle to hit a barn door with a beach ball for months on end.

For me it's close, but right now it simply has to be Lukaku. However, if Benteke manages to adapt, the answer could easily be different in 12 months time.

I don't think Benteke has one part of his game that can match Lukaku in all fairness.

I've always thought both were massively overrated albeit good finishers. Lukaku however seems to have stepped up a gear lately so I'd have him shading it slightly. Neither are players good enough for a top team though in my opinion.

You could have saved everyone a lot of time, and just said "Lukaku".

You have a point. One word answers to questions on forums are the way forward. In fact, in light of that, 1FF should enforce a 25 character limit to posts, just in case. Unfortunately, this post would fall foul of such a rule, so I'm getting it in quick.

1 goal every 2 games. About right for a decent striker. Benteke got 49 goals in 100 games for Villa before he moved, which is more impressive given how bad they have been for years.

I'd say they're equally good and even pretty similar players. Their scoring records in the Prem are nearly identical, too. Honestly can't make a difference between them, although Lukaku is having the better season, but that's only looking at a four month period.
