I think I read somewhere that's 4 points out of a possible 42 for Luton? I might be wrong though. John Still under big pressure here.

Wow if that is the case then still must be starting to feel the heat a bit. I know he got Luton out of that hell hole that is the conference but goodwill can only go so far. With their budget its not unrealistic to say anything other than promotion is a failure.

Just got back home and I am still absolutely over the moon. Terrific away performance from the boys once again and the victory was no less than we deserved.

We dominated for long periods and if we were more clinical with our many, many chances we would have won the game 3 or 4-0 - and that's not an exaggeration. As the clock ticked by in the second half I did fear that Luton, with the players they have, would deal us an undeserved sucker punch, but we coped with everything pretty easily overall. When Sincs got played through and hammered it home, it's fair to say the away end erupted! Scenes like that make being a Gashead worthwhile.

A superb team performance from everybody involved.

Oakey, in the circumstances I have to say I am more than happy to have lost 3 points in your predicta tonight!
glad to have helped you enjoy your day.......i think??

I think it's 3 wins in 19, which is completely unforgivable. He's in an Ian Bell situation. Built up a lot of credit but seriously eating into it wou some sections of the support now.

As for the game, not much to say, we ere abject, slow and looked rather clueless to be honest.

BRFC looked decent, knocked it around well and good pace out wide. Centre halves were comfortable too. Couldn't have knocked them if they done us 3-0 to be honest.

Thought McCourt was ok, he tried a lot of clever stuff which didn't come off often but a few of this through balls (that were superb) were far too clever to anyone to get near.

If you play 352 the wing backs push up and centre halves spread and take the ball off the keeper but I think we maybe did that just once or twice in the entire 90 minutes.

Was clear to me that the players don't know the system, and we practically had a 2 man midfield at times in Doyle and Cam (who is always chasing the ball, too positionally unaware to play CM in a 2 at this moment)

Simple answer for me is to go 433. Green and Paddy close to CMS. Doyle and 2 others from Cam/Smith/Lee/Lawless/Gutts centre midfield. I'd have Cuthbert right back, McNulty and Wilkinson centre half and Potts left back.

That's obvious way forward for me at the moment. But we will see. Remember, it's the middle of August, let's all just relax, eh?

Great performance from the Gas last night. Pretty much dominated from start to finish. I can't actually remember Chapman making a save?

We had a few chances we probably should have done better with and didn't get the run of the ball during a couple of goal mouth scrambles, but a superb reverse ball from Taylor and great finish by Sinclair wrapped up a deserved 3 points.

Fair play to the Luton fans in the main stand who clapped the Rovers players of the pitch. Top supporters who despite being disappointed in their own teams performance wanted to say well done to the opposition.

I hope John Still turns it round at Luton and I think he will. He has an excellent record and has already done so much for the club; ending their 5 year stay in non league and taking them to the brink of the league 2 play off's last season. We're only 3 games in and they clearly have an excellent squad, I'm sure once they get that first win they'll kick on and I still fully expect them to make the top 7.

This is something I noticed too and thought it reflected incredibly well on the Luton supporters. You know you've played well and deserve the points when opposition supporters clap you off.

It was a good part of a superb night.

Luton's fans behind the Kenilworth End goal always applaud the opposition goalkeeper when he comes down for the second half.

Perfect analogy actually, but John Still's style is more untidy like Shahid Afridi than classical and stylish Ian Bell!
