Oh good. 10 men behind the ball for 90 minutes for a change.
I know City lost last weekend, but at least it made a bit of a change from the same bus parking every week.
YES MURPHY! Who's defensive now, idiots
The difference between £100m and £10m net spend a season in the last 5 years. City have been pretty shit all things considered.
Big positive about today is Murphy looking confident. He has ability, but often is too hesitant or runs down blind alleys. I'm pretty happy to have him and Atsu on the wings, it would just be so darn nice to have a suitable, Premier League quality striker betwen them.
Shame Liverpool haven’t spent any money, ever isn’t it, you tedious fuck.
Yes! Silkyman has grown some bollocks at last. You go for it boy.
The difference is our spend isn't from a highly questionable and immoral source.
Getting back to the fun for a moment...
Silky literally just had a go at a team whose eleven was comprised entirely of players plying their trade in the Championship last season for not being swashbuckling against City's billions.
What!?
Actually Manquillo was at Sunderland and Joselu was at Stoke.Don't disrespect Newcastle's players please.
Sorry, let me rephrase.
Silky literally just had a go at a team whose eleven was comprised entirely of players that are complete dogshit for not being swashbuckling against City's billions.
What!?
To be fair, I did say that Newcastle had little choice but to play the way they did at Eastlands. If you read what I wrote, I think I was actually quite sympathetic towards them, but the general tenor that the thread was taking on was one of - in my opinion - unfair criticism of Manchester City for having the temerity to take advantage of their good fortune to build a very good team. I also suggested that if the boot were on the other foot, Newcastle would do exactly the same and their fans would approve of it wholeheartedly.
I've noticed this in football..... Fans of one club will criticise another for doing things they themselves would do without any qualms whatsoever if they had the opportunity. I just don't get that. It isn't in my sporting DNA.
As for Silky's comment about Newcastle's approach to the game, he was responding to a number of posts which appear to be quite critical of his team.... and most supporters finding their club being hit on just because they had the bare faced cheek to go out and (deservedly) win the match might do the same.
Come on guys.... it's turning into a school playground. Let's establish a few basic points so we can all turn back into grown ups again.
1. Manchester City are filthy rich with Arab lucre. They can afford a big squad full of talented players. That's a given.
2. They're the best team in the league right now by a distance.
3. They're probably (most likely) going to win the Premier League this season.
4. If it was your club doing it, you'd be going large too.
5. As it is, other clubs have to try to frustrate them by whatever means possible within the rules.
6. City have to accept this and find a way to overcome it.
I think that just about sums it up, really.
I didn't read your post, I just saw that you'd mentioned getting back to the football whereas I preferred the Silky-baiting avenue of discussion.
