Mind, did all right for Cheltenham with Duff and then us. Worst thing we can say about RE is he proved to be a bit naïve after getting us fifteen points clear, which is not a bad flaw as they go.

I mean he’s taken us up and done a great job in terms of man management and fan relations. Plus obviously deservedly manager of the year.

Big test coming up now though as our form has fallen off a long way and he hasn’t really changed anything to get us going again, which is something Telford fans warned me might happen. Needs to learn from this season going into league 1 as a lot of teams have worked us out and we need to find a plan b.

We've had managers that were rookies, journeymen, ex players and even ones with Premier league experience, maybe the problem is.... US.

It is if you believe our budget is 800k, no one has any job security and get treated a shambles. There's a reason we were only able to get Lee and Nelson in the first place...

Did you see Barron on twitter saying no experienced manager would take the job with the money on offer and the club's poor reputation?

He deleted it didn't he? Barron is known for piping up on Twitter reactively about Pools whenever something goes down and he always ends up deleting it and/or locking his account up.

Budget wise I've got no idea honestly, we keep hearing about investment here and there, rumours of a Suit Direct aligned group interested in a takeover since January which has come to nothing, commercially things have definitely improved since Hobin has come in, hard to tell what sort of playing budget we have, I still maintain this season was always going to be a strange one with the late promotion and the mad scramble to assemble a team, any targets we would of been interested in would of already got themselves a deal lined up elsewhere by the time we got back into pre season training.

This coming season will be telling for Raj and co, they need to get the correct man in charge and a good budget to back him as in his own words, promotion to League 1 is the aim.

Absolutely no excuses next season. If we end up with the same sort of appointments and signings then all the budget stuff etc that's all alleged is probably true

Barron wants to keep his mouth shut.
I was at Chesterfield when we were walloped 6-1 under his leadership, the blokes a thicket.

Don't pay it any mind, odds mean nothing, Graeme Lee didn't even feature on the betting until the day he was announced, Mowbray coming back to Teesside and us now needing a manager, it's setup too good to be actually true.

Can't happen surely? Mowbray wont accept an hourly wage the equivalent of a Bulgarian strawberry picker and a paltry food bank voucher for a 2kg bag of pasta to cook the players pre match dinners for a season

Barron has been sour towards the club since his pal Simmo got the boot and ended up at Barrow.

Not saying he doesn’t have a point in some instances, but emotionally reacting every time club makes a decision isn’t a good look. Plus it gets all the Divs on Twitter into a little frenzy every time.

Why's everyone talking about Robbie Stockdale, stop it, stop it right now.
You know if you were desperate you could always mention Steve Evans on a message board or something, and he’d magically appear

In amongst the Hartlepool vacancy excitement, John Yems has now left Crawley, having previously been suspended over issues of racism in training (things he said and allegations of him treating black players differently)

Crawley start a "global search" for a new manager...and some credibility after putting out such a crap statement.

Usual suspects and some left field ones as per usual but a bit of a change as we may have a budget for next season.

We do have form for appointing "left field" managers, John Gregory, Dermot Drummy, Gabrielle Cioffi, and for for keeping it under wraps until the announcement.

Some shouts for Steve Evans but after the allegations against Yems can we really go back and appoint a man whose alleged actions at Bradford a few years ago were so bad.

Andy Woodward from Bromley is a good shout but I expect the new owners to do something weird with analytics.

I think you mean Andy Woodman, will be interesting to see how he gets on in the league if you do appoint him after there was interest from us (we interviewed him but wouldn’t pay compo) and Pools earlier in the season.

Just to add to the Steve Evans point with us, he was found guilty and made no appeal to the charge, he was fined and hit with a 6 game ban.
