No offence to Barrow but I can't see Challinor going there. The only step up there is the league and you'd have to pay compo. Tranmere, well I'd be surprised if DC isn't interested.

Challinor going to Barrow would be like your missus leaving you for the bin man.

I'm more than happy with Tisdale, I think with our owners and set up we are his kind of club. He'll have time and a little bit of money to play with, plus plenty of gaps in the squad to fill, I have a feeling he will do well for us.

Bit of a shame it wasn't Jackett, but the Portsmouth fans seem to despise him (despite his c.50% win rate there), and whilst his CV is impressive, it's largely been getting promoted with clubs with deep pockets, then struggling in the championship, so there's a chance he's slightly overrated - plus he would be expensive.

Tisdale knows what it takes to get promoted out of this league, I fancy us to have a moderately ambitious summer, and whilst it's hard to say right now, would expect us to push for play offs as a minimum next season.

Just relieved it wasn't that absolute c*** Cooper.

Up the Os.

If it is Tisdale to Orient, expect Jake Taylor as one of his first signings.

Walsall appoint Matt Taylor but not the Matt Taylor that was at the top of the betting odds, weird

On Skybet it specifically named Matt Taylor as the Exeter one.

Anyone betting on that basis has been conned

Matt Taylor is the sort of appointment I’d have liked us to have made this summer but instead we’ve given the job to local PE Teacher Jon Brady.

Taylor played for us when we signed him from Burnley in 2016, legs had gone but his technique was still top notch.

pretty sure that won't happen - or at least hope not - he's not got an impressive record

I doubt if he would take it, got himself a solid job at Barnsley.

Murray record with finding players is great, but struggled tactically, I think he deserves another shot but I don’t think Barrow is a good move for him.

Looks like a 2 donkey race between Stephen Robinson and John McGreal for the shitty end of our particular stick.

Can’t say I know much about either of them.

Ex Motherwell manager ?

Did well getting them into Europe and to a cup final.

Not a great standard outside the big Glasgow 2 I guess though .

McGreal would be a solid appointment I reckon. Did a good job at Colchester when he was there and only left as they were making budget cuts if I remember rightly. Be a tough ask for whoever gets it though unless the off field stuff is closer to being sorted.

In court again last Monday. Nothing sorted. Another go 14 June with a proper trial set for September if the warring parties can’t sort it out. All confirming what a giant prick Lee Power is.

Looking at the way a largely similar group of players performed this season compared to those who made the play-offs last year, John McGreal looks like Pep.

Thought you had a massive exodus of players at the beginning of the season. Seems a decent manager. Wonder why he’s not got a job since leaving you.

McGreal gone from double figures into 4/1 for our job. Murray is still favourite, but out to 3/1 from 2/1. (Skybet)
but Cooper is favourite with William Hill at 100/30 from Murray, with McGreal at 14/1..... so basically nobody has a clue still.

Why didn't Rob Kelly stay on, was a reason given?
Basically I think he doesn't like the pressure of being a full time manager - he'd rather be a Number 2;-

it looks like 3 of our backroom staff from last season;- Kelly, Hird and Neil McDonald will all be No2's by the end of the week

Hird isn't going to Bolton to be number 2,that's Atherton.
