Happy with that and Neil Mcdonald has come as his assistant.
McDonald was excellent here as Jackson's assistant back in 2008 and regarded as the one who improved us. He then left for Leeds before teaming back up with Allardyce at Blackburn.

Jumped around over the last few years, though. Hardly stays anywhere nowadays.

All a bit uneasy, our end, I'm afraid.

Still, I will be watching with no less enthusiasm tonight - blowing my vuvezela and wearing my home made Shrimp hat...........
Genuine good luck tonight. Most Bradfordians have a soft spot for Morecambe. Not sure whether you are old enough to remember the nickname Morecambe had of Bradford by the Sea?

i hope you make it. you certainly deserve it. sorry robshep, absolutely nothing against tranmere and think you should go for your classy former cb as manager.
Whoever goes up has earned it. I will not begrudge it if Morecambe go through, i'll just blame Keith Hill.

The weather is terrible here. Rain and wind. Not going to help make it a classic i reckon.

Sweating me bollocks off here. It was north of 35C yesterday in the direct sun!

I was sitting in the garden at 6pm last night with the sun warming me. You can say what you like about the UK but its not boring weather wise.

Not called Port Sunlight for nothing! Hope your fan zone doesn’t take too much trade away from The Clipper.

Fan zone isn't open tonight. The proposed new fanzone will finish that pub. Its a giant conservatory/greenhouse with its own micro brewery run by GermanKraft Beer. Our owners know what we want. Booze and lots of it.
Some success is nice too, so we can celebrate.

Thought you had a massive exodus of players at the beginning of the season. Seems a decent manager. Wonder why he’s not got a job since leaving you.

Not really, only a couple of significant departures really in the grand scheme of things - not enough for the downturn we had. McGreal is a cautious manager but I would expect him to do a good job for anyone at this level really.

We’ve narrowed our shortlist down to 5 (none are women btw) and conducted the interviews last week. New appointment delayed until after Sunday to avoid distractions, likely to be an up and coming coach happy to work under a director of football rather then an experienced manager.

Ok looks like tomorrow will be the big day when we announce our new manager, I'm told it will be around lunchtime tomorrow and it is Kenny Jackett.

Earlier today rumours started that a large chunk of our backroom staff had been moved on, later on in the day Portsmouth have announced that Jacketts backroom staff from Portsmouth have left them:

This leads me to believe that we've had a near on total clear out of our coaches and analysts, because I think Jackett will bring his own people with him.

Our Physio has also since moved to Sunderland.

Edit: Not sure how true, but I've been told ALL of our backroom coaching team has gone and been replaced.

Be surprised if NA moved so far north - was living away from his family in Nottingham which is at least vaguely commutable back to London sometimes. Would be a great appointment if you could get him, though.

Maybe not, looks like it is Ardley! Hope he does a great job for you.

If you've seen an "official" Facebook post ignore that. It's a fake account plus a few people on twitter mucking about trying to shift the odds. In reality no one has any idea who it will be.
