Cushty = very good or pleasing.
Cushy = (of a job or situation) undemanding, easy, or secure.

Slightly different granted but I think in the context that DL used either makes sense. :)
You're too kind and generous a reader. Not a fault I shall ever be accused of.

Nothing makes sense from him. Probably lies a lot. They can't help it.

I meant cushty, which is why I typed it, but thanks for the admirable attempt of correcting me.

But alas, you're still a thick c***.
I find it very difficult to believe you. Can't think why you tory turd.

I really couldn't give a rats arse if some left wing scouse nonce believed me or not, it literally makes zero difference to my life. You try to troll me on every post I make, it's a bit creepy how obsessed you are. You're on my ignore but I obviously noticed it because of the slew of other replies on this occasion. Cushty is a word that is commonly used down here, I assumed everyone was aware of the word and its meaning - I guess I just had higher expectations of the scouse and their intelligence. I shan't make that mistake again. Adios.

Truth hurts when you support a filthy shower of lying thieves that are robbing the country blind and bleeding it dry. Your time will be over sooner than you think tory scum.

Can't believe your profile says that you're 60. At least we all know Devon Lad is still in Primary school
Twenty seven years young, me.

How many primary school kids loves Jacob Rees-Mogg? To be fair, probably quite a few given how many of his off-spring are there.

I personally never really get the appeal of JRM, he is hardly the man of the people given his pomposity and entitled background. What is it that you like about him out of interest?

I'm not classist so his background doesn't really bother me, why should it? He's intelligent, ridiculously polite despite the hurdles of abuse he gets, straightforward and his idea's resonate with me and a lot of people that can see past his 'posh voice' or 'privileged background'. I'm obviously a libertarian that wants minimal state interference and just wants to get about my life as freely as possible without being told what I can or cannot do. He'd be the ideal PM.

But at least he's bloody honest about his past, unlike certain individuals - Starmer talks about his dad nearly daily - One quote.."When I think about a new deal for workers, I think of my Dad. He worked on the factory floor all his life."

What he fails to mention is that his father owned the factory floor, he wasn't slaving away for hours on end.

Way off topic so I'm out. You can send me a direct message if you wanna continue this... Isn't the place and I really need to stop biting to people when they continually bring it up lol

Fair enough, I think you've made some interesting points. I'm not massively into politics at all and don't particularly like the mud slinging from both sides. (if pushed I am probably very slightly centre left) It's certainly extremely ugly at the moment.

And I am in agreement with you, it's not the place for a political discussion!

It's a "Cooper Out" day on the Barrow forum as we lost last night. A win on Saturday against Stevenage and they'll be discussing a late play-off push...

Confirmed to be false - official club fan groups should really not post this sort of stuff.

However Kenny was due to do an interview with a fans podcast tomorrow and has pulled out of it.

Funny that they think we will ever achieve something by consistently sacking managers. Dunn and Jolley had to go last season as we were going down with a whimper, Dunn was hopeless with 7 total wins in his managerial career and the players were disillusioned with Jolley within weeks of walking through the door, but that's where the line needed to be drawn. If we are going to start again every summer we may as well just give up now. On reflection last year we would have snapped hands off to be in a position where we are five points clear of the relegation zone with 6 or 7 teams in the picture.

You'd think with Cooper and what I take to be Barrow's expectations, it really would be best to give him long enough to assemble a good squad like he did for us, even if there's an upper limit to what he'll achieve with them.

well Ben Garner's future is now up for discussion amongst the fanbase after a run of only 3 wins in 15 matches. A lot of what the Bristol Rovers fans said has eventually happened, but given our remit was to stay in league 2 and also given the fact we are under an embargo the first half of the season appeared to go very well and 'Garner ball' was having a lovely old time.

Cycle forward and things haven't gone very well recently. Granted, we have missed Jack Payne and also Louis Reeds suspension hasn't helped in our thin squad. We also now have Lyden and Jonny Williams on the treatment table as well as club captain Dion Conroy. But the main thing that is pissing people off is Garner's lack of tactical nous and his stubborness to stick with only one way of playing. He's desperate to be the lower league Guardiola and league 2 players, in my eyes, just don't have the ability to do this. Our tempo is too slow, we don't have the technical abilities to take the ball into tight positions and get out of them. Our discipline, which also comes from the top is poor. 2 players have been shown red cards after the final whistle, one our club captain! Our assistant manager also got shown a red card last night in a 'melee'. I don't think Garner's whining about officials really helps here. I personally wish he would expend his energy elsewhere.

Our next 3 games, on paper against Scunthorpe, Carlisle and Walsall should 'Garner' at least 7 points and if we don't properly turn this sinking ship around, things are going to get ugly. The new chairman won't sack Garner as he's already said this season is a free hit, but his managerial credentials are under serious scrutiny. Great coach he maybe, but he needs to really show he can be a manager.

This is the point I've tried to get across to people, everyone knows you've had a good budget since Vince took over but you scraped survival in your first year up here, and under him you've since built the platform that another manager has taken to the next level.

Yep, and the budget really has been far more par for the course in these recent league seasons, hence we're even turning a profit. We've got some good players but none of them are on a ridiculous wage, the only possible thing might be happening looking at the accounts is hiding stuff in signing on fees but reckon that's been cut right back to. No reason he can't do similar for you with sufficient but not crazy backing.

Not saying I think Taylor is a good manager as theres not really enough of a track record to judge but him being sacked by Walsall is classic scapegoating for failures above. Don’t think he stood a chance from the start and not sure much will change with the next one.

For an oppo fan that's impressive knowledge and I don't think I'd have typed a single word differently. All very depressing really. Good luck to Taylor in the future.
I've not got the heart or energy to go further into the structure and politics at the club but non league football is starting to look a real possibility. The next manager will be the cheap and easy option and once again he will be asked to polish the impossible turd.

I will reserve my 'get your coat' comment for when there's any substance to it then.
