I'm hopeful having watched his interview with Tom Williams on Twitter from a few months ago.
He's definitely a continuity appointment with the same outlook and playing style as Williams. We needed to move on and he's straight into training and will be in the dugout for Saturday.

It's a risk, but we've had loads of success making risky appointments and risky signings in the last couple of years.

Continuity appointment does make sense as well, we don't need to be overhauling everything, hopefully he can deliver the defensive tweaks we clearly need.

Ferguson sacked before the season started, a woman who was never going to get the full time job turned into a pantomime, unfair on her, an unproven manager, then a player and loose cannon and who knows what next?
You just need Vince to do something utterly mental like moon Rishi Sunak or something to cap the season off.

Weirdly might help him if we do sell Langstaff, think that would dampen the expectation to make top seven at least this season a lot.

It’s a stable job, so he’ll get ages. They gave Ardley forever and only sacked him because Burchnall was going to go to League One if not, planned to let him see out his contract. I’d have thrown old Burch in the Trent on several occasions but there’s no way they were ever considering his position.

Their defensive record is one of the better ones in the league which is promising. From the bits I’ve seen and heard they can control games, play the same formation as us and are pretty solid but can suffer from not having the quality/cutting edge upfront. That’s obviously the last issue we have, so fingers crossed!

Haven’t seen a club completely implode like FGR have ever since they won the L2 title. Just been a non-stop flow of bad decisions and unfortunately now seem a bit of a circus.
