I think Saltire meant Moyes actually. Now there's a Scotsman from Scotland for you.

Alex Ferguson was a great manager who left at the optimum time, he did an amazing job winning the league with the team at his disposal and although David Moyes is a good manager he is not in the same league as Wenger or mourinho.

Think Van Gaal is a decent manager but is a bit of a bully and not got the style or charisma of other great managers

You're correct there. Moyes is not in the same league. He's in La Liga..

(THIS IS A JOKE, I UNDERSTAND WHAT FOOTBALLER IS SAYING, HE'S SAYING THAT WENGER AND MOURINHO ARE MUCH BETTER MANAGERS THAN MOYES. I'D PROBABLY AGREE. BUT INSTEAD, I'VE MISUNDERSTOOD HIM FOR COMIC EFFECT AS MOYES IS IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE TO WENGER AND MOURINHO AS HE'S CURRENTLY WORKING IN SPAIN!!!!!)

I remember reading an interview with Dalglish as a youngster saying Manchester United were his favourite team too. This just goes from bad to worse for our mate Salty.

Who the fuck cares who he supported as a kid, and btw it would've been Celtic anyway. ;)

Back to Blackburn, to come from where they did to achieve a Premier League title, given money or otherwise, is a tremendous achievement akin to Derby winning it with Clough, and one that will never happen again.

It'd be like holding Mancini in higher esteem cos he won the title with the teeny tiny Man City for the first time in 44 years. That'd be a more valid argument tbh because Mancini is actually a good football manager.
Ah so the titles he won as Liverpool manager were nothing then? He must've been a hell of a poor manager to win titles with Liverpool and Blackburn. Away ye go ye belter.

I hold Moyes in higher credit than I do that other cretin Ferguson. In fact Moyes was able to do something Ferguson couldn't do - beat Barcelona when it counted.

I find Van Gaal to be a far more amiable, entertaining person than Ferguson ever was. His career has been magnificent, and even if I dislike Manchester United as a club, I am disappointed by how turgid the football Van Gaal has produced so far. I don't think Van Gaal has been undignified though, he's very honest in most of his appraisals and is one of the most likable managers in the league, certainly in how he comes across.

Dunno about dignity (I'm an armchair Chelsea supporter ffs) but can't really say that's a word I often associated with Rudolph. What I can say is that I proper loathed them in the 90s and 00s when they were the dominant force in English football. Now that they've essentially been relegated to an amusing circus act I consider them marginally less hateful.

Well on his to relegating them before Baconface took over

Also, regarding the spending issue, I believe that Utd have spent more than twice as much as the next club during this current window, and where is that getting them? Losing 3 times in a row to a club that was in Division 4 not that many years ago.

Ferguson beat Barcelona in a CWC final and a CL semi in 08 when we won it. I guess they don't count.

Stockport County.
The fact that SALTIRE doesn't have a carer really does underline the fact that NHS resources are extremely stretched.

SALTIRE is somebody's neighbour and work colleague. You just know he's the guy who "stares a lot".

Wow, I'm beginning to worry about some of you, first Pags was thinking about my cock the other night and now toddler is dreaming about me in a Liverpool top with a massive rager! Toddler I'm not surprised about though as he's obviously a frustrated little man going by his posts - 700 of them all shit - and he supposedly lived in Amsterdam for a while, probably going to the red light district and getting some big fat hooker to beat him up in his Everton top! Both Pags and toddles are middle-aged men - is this what I've got to look forward to as I approach it, getting my jollies thinking about the sexual adventures of others while wanking into a sock?
