It is so predictable, unfortunately. Get in front and then think we can see out a win by punting the ball clear all second half. It failed miserably at Wrexham and it's failed again today.

Extremely disappointing.

In all fairness would've taken a point before this game. Just frustrating to bottle leads against Wrexham, Halifax on multiple times (although we did still win) and now Grimsby. :err:

Very late drama as Halifax score 90+4 and 90+7 to equalise with Bromley, Wrexham score in stoppage time to win 1-0.

FT at Grimsby, 2-2. As Ollie says, expected a loss so I'll take it but disappointing to choke a 2-0 lead.

Didn't think I'd be leaving disappointed to get a draw at half time, but I am.
Complete dominance for the whole second half, never seen a game change so much at half time.
Then last minute of injury time free kick edge of Torquay box..... and we cross it.
As shit as we were first half, we were fantastic in the second

Great win for Boreham Wood at Tranmere.

Well done to them.

For a team who were unbeaten Lincoln looked terrible, only troubled us for 10 minutes of the game easy win.

Happy with our start, you can't ask much more then 5 out of 5.

Lincoln were predictably a tough test, but were let down by their somewhat iffy defence and seemed to miss Liam Hearn (injured?) as they were a bit toothless going forward. After we missed our pen we lost our way for a bit, and Lincoln got one back and it looked like we might throw it away. Luckily KMB produced a bit of magic with a lovely chip to finish them off.

Obviously a long way to go, but despite having had a few key players out so far this season, our squad appears to be strong enough to cope.

Well that was a strange one, we were terrible for 60/70 minutes and Barrow, despite not creating much themselves, probably deserved the lead. Got one back out of nothing and from then on we absolutely battered them and there was only going to be one result. You could argue a draw might've been fair on balance but the only time either team really looked threatening was in the last 20 minutes when we were all over them. And if you're going to leave a man completely unmarked from a corner in the 88th minute you don't deserve a point anyway!

Absolutely shambolic performance from us. At times I thought I'd travelled back in time to last season, Jennings misplacing every pass, players played out of position, no idea what formation we were playing and aimless balls hoofed up the field to no one. Are we beginning to see the Gary Brabin everyone warned us of?

A last minute goal is so much sweeter when it's against absolute time-wasting twats. Welling were solid enough and were stopping our gameplan Their keeper must have wasted about 20 mins during the course of the game so when the little genius popped up again to win it for us with a belter in stoppage time it was just reward.

Meh, so predictable.

Grimsby are going to come and twat us senseless after last season, aren't they. Never mind, back to the comfort of mid-table.

Fair justice for their keeper who was wasting time from the 46th minute when at 0-0 adjusting his shirt twice at every kick. All fans should take a pragmatic approach to time wasting but when it backfires like it did today (and on us at F£R a couple of seasons ago), the late late goals are ever so sweet for the team that benefits.

We were excellent today, fantastic football throughout too. Holman was isolated at times on his own but the support from midfield was excellent even if there was no real end product in the first half barring the penalty. Conceding two is disappointing but the game was well won, their free kick was immaculate too. This season could be something special for us, mid-table for Chester I reckon.

The usual three points against Chester. Just how easy is this league?

We only had three players with any enthusiasm today, Hatfield, Lowe & Brooksby the rest strolled around watching them work!

Your team are all motivated to win for Rendell, so in a way you're still a 1 man team..

Scott Rendell didn't die for our team not to try for him. What do you expect?

Yeah, been saying it since pre-season. In place of Hearn we had a 20 year old and the scorer who came on was an 18 year old. Both through the youth team.

Goals scored in the first 4 league games - 2

Goals scored at Guiseley today - 4

Crazy. At least it will be a very happy trip home and we have a win at last. From the minute we went ahead we were in total control, just hope Brodie's injury isnt too serious as he was outstanding again today!

After watching Torquay today i genuinely fear for their future attendances, didn't seem like any of them were capable of stringing 2 passes together just lumping the ball into the box at every oppurtunity hoping for some luck and fair play, it worked for 45 mins, but it is soul destroying to watch.
If we were dishing out absolute shite like that i for one i would defintely be keeping my cash in my pocket and would not pay a bean to watch it, i feel sorry for Torquay's supporters getting that garbage served up week on week.
Absolute worlds apart from the Torquay side that turned us over here last year.
The sooner Cox fucks off, the better for you IMO.

I thought Boreham Wood would be completely overwhelmed at this level considering how small a club they where even for the league below, it's great to see them competing.
