It's a right tough league this one, 7 league games in 24 August days would have premier league managers crying in front of the match of the day cameras.
Can Halifax pick up their first points, will Lincoln put an end to FGR's winning streak. Eastleigh, Grimsby and Wrexham look like home bankers to me.
I think it's going to be another tough test for Tranmere against a decent well organised Boreham Wood team who are looking forward to their visit to Prenton park. 1-1 in front of 5250 including the the 2 minibuses of fans making the journey from BW.

Hope your team wins for you!

Toughest test we've had so far.

Apparently for health and safety reasons both clubs have come to an agreement meaning that neither Jon Parkin or Matt Rhead will be allowed in the same half at the same time, as there would be a genuine risk of the pitch tipping over.

Both will be required to stay up the pitch and be a goal hanger, which shouldn't be too much of a problem for them.

Really looking forward to this one! Hopefully we'll provide a warm welcome to the small band of Boreham Wood fans - come and have a drink with us in the Fan Zone by the Main Stand if it's not chucking it down with rain.

I'm hoping for another crowd above 5,000, although the weather is not looking great which might deter some. Either way, conditions are likely to be a bit more challenging than for any of our games so far. I've got my fingers crossed for a comfortable home win... I'll go for 2-0.

1-0 would be pleasing, time for us to show that we can go 90minutes without slipping up. Important that we win regardless, if we go on any sort of losing streak the feel-good mood could easily plummet. We should have JP Pittman and Marcus Marshall available as well as Matt Robinson so we could shuffle things up a bit. It's only a matter of time before Pearson is back in the side I'd imagine.

Weather forecast not good, Boreham wood no push-overs and Danny Woodards returning to PP. Loan signing Blissett might feature at some point as Margetts joins sick-note Norwood as an injury doubt. Think we'll scrape a win, but again it won't be comfortable.

You'd better watch out for Jamie Lucas

Pearson has to start. Toto and Gowling are both good and for whatever reason have beaten Pearson to the two starting CB slots, but Pearson is the best of three. It's madness that he's not starting.

Will Lincoln end FGR's unbeaten start? Here's a nice snappy answer for you:

I say yes. 0-1 to The Imps and nosebleeds all round. Late penalty.

Poor excuse. Now down a pint of Bovril, chase it with Cardhu 18-year old whiskey, order a shot of adrenaline and get out of bed.

ALFRETON NEEDS YOU.

Not got much hope about today. Think we could be on the end of a bit of a spanking, seen as our defence can't defend crosses into the box and they're a bit side and like a set piece. 4-1 I reckon.

Only Wood missing for us today after his missus gave birth on Wednesday. Still no real injuries to speak of, which is quite unusual.

Fancy us to score, but not to win.

For the first time in a couple of years the vast majority of our fans will be going to a match expecting us to win and to be honest it feels quite uncomfortable.
Maybe at the moment, but you'll get used to it if it carries on.

We had the same under Schoey in 06/07. After the first 3 or 4 home games you just used to rock up expecting to piss all over the opposition and then we did (well until Feb/March time anyway).

Taking my 4 year old to his first National League game today. He came to a Football League match about 18 months ago and that hasn't put him off. Today probably will.

As for the game, I don't know what to expect. Would like to think that our unbeaten run will continue and, as we need to make the World of Smile a fortress, 3 points will be in the bag by 4:55pm.

Enraged after not being able to get a pre match steak pie with burger chaser, Rhead will have the game of his life.

The imps to shut out the Eco warriors and snatch a 1-0 win and cue talks of Lincoln as promotion favourites. Fat lad smashing in the winner.

17 years ago today we drew 0-0 with Man City in the league at Maine road.

An incredible day. As good a nil nil as you will see. I bet they'd give everything to swap positions with us now and by walking in a Millsiah wonderland.

Best keeping display I've ever seen in that game from Mark Cartwright.

Most games this season are unknown territory for us, i don't know much about the opposition or how our improved squad will deal with the step up. They have done well so far but then again the early fixtures have been kind to us.
Exciting times for Lions fans :D

I must admit, that first paragraph was quality material on my lunch break, many thanks.

There's just no chance we'll get anything today. It isn't the Lincoln way, and being "promotion favourites" certainly isn't.

Hearn not starting today apparently. Not surprised tbh, he's played a decent amount over the last 7-10 days.

We did Kevin Austin got the winner and Jason Barnett got badly injured, a rare highlight that season.
