The unmarked Rhead cushioned a header towards Chester's goal. It had no pace and any keeper should have gathered it easily. Worsnop is making errors every game now. The defence have fallen apart as a result. We need a competent keeper and fast or we'll drop into the bottom 4.

We've got a few people like you on our forum.

Completely unable to analyse any goal so just go "for fuck's sake keeper"

Hahahahahahahahaha. HA. Halifax are awful. Three wins from three at the Fortress Shay for us. Went 3-0 up and stepped off, easy as you like. Highlight was cheering every Halifax pass as they knocked it around their back five inside their own half, 3-0 down. Our cheers were drowned out by the home fans' boos. Sacking Aspin has sent them down.

Eastleigh. Glorified pub team who found a bit of money, bought a couple of decent players but still play like the local. Cynical, dirty, cheating - all words that are not strong enough to describe what they were doing. Just a group of bullies who tried and failed to bully us, but bullied the ref and the officials into doing things their way.

From our perspective, we played well today and everything that could have gone wrong went wrong: missed penalty, red card, 9 men through injury. Even with 9 men, we were still the better side, even before they eventually went down to 10 (well, even that ref has to give one after the first 10 warnings).

Interesting stat - we've lost 3 games and 2 of them have been refereed by today's official. As for Eastleigh - no way they are going up. They've got 4 or 5 good players surrounded by shite who don't even try to play football and just kick and dive for 90 minutes.

Forgot it was a forum to discuss football and opinions.

Still only saw a half less than you.
Your keeper, Matt Glennon, was the best keeper we've had since reforming in 2010. I'm confident that if he were still with us we would be nearer the top than the bottom. John Danby, our previous and better keeper was dumped by Burr for making far less mistakes than Jon Worsnop. Just my opinion and shared by most, except Blue and White, who I believe is a club director.

Just one of those days today for Tranmere. Didn't play badly at all, Norwood missing a sitter when clean through from what was probably an off side position, Mangan having a penalty very well saved. Then a nightmare start to the 2nd half with the oppo scoring and minutes later Maynard deservedly getting sent off, probably should have got sent off 1st half and I think Brabin must of been thinking about taking him off early. Martin Riley with a howling error for the oppos 2nd goal and then worst off all both Dawson and Mangan hobbling off injured leaving Tranmere down to 9 players. Constable got himself stupidly sent off and in the end the game could quite easily of ended up 2-2, or 1-4 if either team had taken their chances.
Was surprised by Easleigh's tactics playing a physical hoof ball game when they clearly have some proven talented footballers in their team, they will argue it got them the 3 points though. Worryingly it seemed as if a missile was thrown from the Kop at Flitney, perhaps it was a stop watch for all his time wasting. Good goal keeping display from the Eastleigh No1 though. Referee lost control of today's game making some bizarre decisions against both teams.
Couldn't have asked for more from the nine men of Tranmere and many fans stayed behind to applaud them off at the final whistle. Unlucky lads!

Water under the bridge, time to move on.

Eastleigh are horrid little team mate, took my missus and daughter to our home game against them last season and my missus was disgusted by them, especially Constable and was delighted to hear he'd been sent off today.

Hednesford 2 (Obeng 12, Disney 74)-4 Alfreton (Robertson 17,28,65, Bradley 20)

Jordan Robertson is too good for this level. Fact Scored a treble today and set Bradley up for the other as we defeated Hednesford to advance into Mondays 4th Qualifying Round draw.

If there was ever a game to showcase how to not defend this was it however both sides were at sixes and sevens at the back and it could have been 5-5. Hednesford were an absolute car crash at the back in the fist half though.

Firsty the keeper and defend ran in to each other enabling Bradley to score before just 5 minutes later Parton the keeper was shown his marching orders for bringing Bradley down when clear through. This all in the opening 25 minutes!

Eight goals scored now in 2 games against Hednesford. Pity we cant play them every week!

So Please please anyone but Lincoln or Wrexham or Grimsby in the next round please. Id rather like to avoid any long trips to Barrow and Gateshead too.

It's nothing to do with us losing - I believe we pretty much all conceded Boreham Wood deserved to win and no sour grapes when it comes to losing to Altrincham.
You're awful at everything. Your team is mostly shite, your style of play is shite, your whole club is run like a local pub side. Look at your official site - you've got more money than most in this league (apparently) and yet you'd never know you were playing us because there's nothing on there. Then, on your fan site, everyone is saying how this is your best result ever and yet you only brought 60!

We'll not always lose, but you'll always be Eastleigh. I feel sorry for you.

We might stay in this league a while but we will never revert to the kind of disgusting antics I saw from your disgrace of a team today. No wonder only one man and his dog support that scum. I would be ashamed to be associated with that team quite frankly.

That Obeng for Hednesford, surely not the one who played for Wrexham?

From a completely neutral point of view, Wrexham are dogshit. Pains me to say that as I'd like to see them go up. They really were dreadful though.

Dover aren't much better but are defensively solid. Really hope they don't go up. Will be good to play them again.

Tranmere, you fucking arseholes. £601 you let me down for. Fucking Eastleigh?!

Haha, that's a good one! :gr:

I just don't mind Worsnop generally, he's not really covering himself in glory at the moment but last season he was excellent recovering after a shaky start. He made a cracking save early today, not even sure how he actually pulled it off. Danby was a bit like Worsnop, excellent shot stopper but dodgy on crosses, always was and it was a constant moan amongst the fans for years. He's now at glorious Connah's Quay for goodness sake!

Did we even have 32 fans there though? Don't Halifax always LIE about the away attendance JUST LIKE THEY DID in this fixture last season?

Whilst you did miss all of the above, I thought that one of the main factors that contributed to your defeat was Kelly's decision to play three/five at the back. It's not a bad plan to play that system away from home (see 3-1 win at Altrincham on Tuesday) on the counter-attack but at home against a visiting side who have lost four in a row I don't think it's the best of ideas. Whether it would have made much of a difference to the scoreline, I'm not sure, although it might have seen you're lot play a bit better than they did. Often the wing-backs didn't know when to defend or attack which left the three CBs exposed.

Worsnop is better than Danby and Glennon. We're shipping goals because George is injured and there's no one else in the squad that can do what he does.

Went to Prenton Park today - what an eventful match!

I agree that Eastleigh were cynical throughout the match and the way in which they went defensive at 2-0 nearly cost them the match. However they are not a team of cloggers and the right back Partington had an excellent game which also involved him scoring the opener. Constable also scored a class goal and nearly set one up just before half time.

Midson and Constable were the chief clowns in the first half, going down at the drop of a hat and in the ear of the referee, although the arbiter pretty much let Eastleigh get away with everything including the GK squaring up to the ball before Mangan took his spot kick.

On that note, where was the card for the player that gave away the pen? Red card?

With regard to Tranmere, we played our best stuff with ten / nine men and it was unfortunate we didn't offer more in the first half. That said, Mangan should score his spot kick and Maynard should bear in mind he's on a yellow rather than lunge in and ultimately cost his team the match.

Dawson was clearly our danger man before pulling up and we are missing him, Mangan, Maynard and maybe even Hogan for Tuesday match although we do have enough depth to cope.

No, this is Ahmed Obeng. He played for us last year, but Whild only ever really used him as an impact sub. Shame really, because though very small, had lightening pace and a decent shot on him. Think he would have been a key player for us this year, but he turned us down to join Hednesford.

Indeed, other than that no show at Woking, we barely conceded any goals in the first several games. Since George has been out, we've shipped them in from every angle.

Three 3-2 scorelines in a week!

Shit result for us and considering it's our 8th draw of the season already, any upcoming draws will also be shit results. 2 wins in 7 is simply crap.

But we are unbeaten in 8 we must be great...
Hurst in his interview said he couldn't bring Amond because of the injuries; if he'd started instead of Tomlinson that
would have been irrelevant...

That's a crap excuse, he could have brought Tomlinson off for Amond. Arnold coming off was a double blow. I groaned when I heard Marshall was warming up. I know Marshall has done well coming off the bench of late, but I still would rather have Amond on. If you're bringing Marshall on then at least bring Tomlinson off and stick Arnold up front, thus switching up two positions in one substitution and eradicating Tomlinson's red card threat.
