Two home games, both against sides we don't have a great record against over the last few years, but two matches we need 4+ points from ideally. I wasn't in Sheffield on saturday but by all accounts it was 10x better than the previous week at Oldham so that's promising. I see no reason why we can't win both really, so that must be the aim. Wouldn't be upset with a point against the Dons, but we need to beat Shrewsbury to build a gap over them.

The tough games just keep on coming for us. Think this stinks a draw, 1-1

It may or may not be fun vs Newcastle but we will lose this one.

Edit: We also have a tie vs Bradford on Tuesday in the Abomination Trophy. Hopefully all our players make it through unscathed, that is all I care about. Our chairman would understandably like to win for the £50k prize money.

Tough one, won 1 game away all season and Scunny haven't lost in 25 home games so the straw to clutch at is that it would be typical football for us to go and complete a decent double over them as seems a home banker.

That said the improvement was huge on Friday night and it is a massively different side to the one that last played away with the amount of new signings and likely incomings this week so who knows we might surprise them. We actually finally look like scoring goals!

A draw would be decent... as with Friday we are very intrigued as to what will happen with the overhaul and improvements under Browny (needs to be given the job until May now)

Away at Oldham. They don't score many but they don't concede many either. Think it will be 0-0 or a 1-0 away win. The only issue is whether any of our show ponies are up for it on a Tuesday night in the cold.

We haven't scored an away goal in over 10 hours of football since October. So the best we can hope from Gills is a nil nil draw.

Wow mate, you have set up your list of fixtures exactly as I did in LMS. How much of a coincidence is that? ;)

Are Elliott and Poleon fit? If they are there's no way we can keep a clean sheet, those two have our number big time, especially Poleon.

If they aren't now, hopefully they will be by the time the match is played.

Match postponed.

Not actually disappointed that it's called off, and certainly not surprised. Hasn't really got above 0 for a couple of weeks now.

Me neither (not that I was going). Our players could probably do with a rest.

Coventry at home. Think between us we've taken 12 points from our last 72 available, may be wrong but I think those were the numbers I saw on Twitter. Pretty massive game really, dreading it.

KettleWatch; The Football Gods know that Gills fans are devastated because Deadly Darren Deadman isn't coming to the Priestfield tomorrow, so to make up for it they're sending Trevor there on Saturday instead.
Loves Gills (I've heard he adores the fabled Gillingham nightlife); reffed them 16 times (W7 D2 L7) and this will be his third time reffing them this season; he's done the 3-3 draw away at the Proact (6Y) in Sept & the 3-0 destruction of Rochdale at home (3Y) in Nov.
Reffed Shrews 10 times (W5 D2 L3), twice this season; 4-2 home loss to Cobblers (6Y) in Oct & 0-0 draw with Fleetwood (6Y) in the FA Cup last month. In 20 games this season he's given 93Y, 2R & 13 pens - very high yellow & huge pen count.

It's free FFS - surely you must be bringing more than a couple of hundred. It's a guaranteed draw for you at the absolute minimum, unless you score for us.

Pitch passed a second precautionary pitch inspection this morning so the Abomination Trophy tie is on tonight.

I was on about the players, not the fans. :gr:

I doubt we'll have more than 150 there to be honest.

Massive game.
This is the battle of the leagues most out of form teams.

Which ever team loses can claim the crown of worse team in the league and that would be really embarrassing and damaging to morale.

So I predict a nervous 1-1 draw, enabling both clubs to save face and fight another day.

I think I start getting worried about a Wembley appearance if we make it through this round.

Of those 13 pens the esteemed Mr Kettle gave us 2 of them in the 4-2 Northampton defeat. Chances are he'll have to even it up on Saturday!

If it gets to within 10 mins of kick off then just play it. It's a joke comp anyway. Stick some moulds on and tell the players to go at 20%.

That's a bit of a joke, would say I feel sorry for our travelling fans but you'd have to be mentally unstable to go to any game in this competition.

Fair play to that. Harvey should reimburse them from that fine he took from us when we didn't break the rules. He's probably already spent it on pasties and head wax.

Fleetwood 1-up at Sheffield United. Rosler's working miracles up there. Thought they were certs for relegation this season.
