Grimsby fans arguing after a 4-0 win, classic.

Anyway, very pleased with our result today. Needed something after Tuesday. Delighted for Hearn and Rhead who must be one of the best partnerships in this league now?
As a famous Imps fan recently said to me at half time a couple of weeks ago 'they're both crap and all they do is score goals!'
Poor first half for us until the goals and really should have scored more in the second half but our centre backs have a nasty habit of heading up and not down from corners when they get free headers.

Wouldn't say there was any arguing going on...

Got what we deserved today, shocking 1st half, shocking defending for their 3rd, we're desperate for a decent forward

Get in.
Our first away win of the season, fantastic :D

Really happy for you guys. First half was the best possession retention I've seen from a non-league side ever. Second half Braintree were probably the better side but couldn't really do anything. I'll tell you what, Braintree won't trouble the play offs, Guiseley won't trouble the relegation spots. Away fans were in good voice, genuinely wish you well for the rest of the season.

Thanks for that, I couldn't make the game due to work.
We do usually play a passing, possession game whenever possible. Earlier in the season we were a little too gungho in our attacking play, failed to take chances and got caught on the break. We seem to have learned from that and are taking our time in games, remaining as solid as possible which means fewer scoring opportunities but less chance of conceding.
Two wins and five draws from our last seven games, very proud of our little club especially as 80% of the squad were with us in the conference north.

Rough estimate for away fans Llama?

The ultimate in smash and grabs yesterday. Tranmere were settling for a point with about 20 mins to go and there really did look like there was only going to be one winner. However, Mangan's turn and shot was fantastic.

No complaints from me, if you don't take your chances you set yourself up to be punished. Johnson sounded pigsick on the radio last night and you can't blame him. Another day we would have won convincingly, but that's football.

Really missed Pipe's influence yesterday, but fair play to Gateshead who ground out the perfect smash and grab away performance. Jamie Chandler looked an excellent player, and I was also impressed with their left back who dealt with KMB very well, and Sam Russell who showed again why he's the best keeper in the league.

Still find the suspensions really unfair, and it's even more ridiculous that Tranmere have also had to suffer from The FA's incompetence with Norwood's suspension.

Anyway someone has found the actual charges on the FA Website

Forest Green Rovers U21
Bath City U21 v Forest Green Rovers U21
Development Friendly, 23 March 2015
Breach of FA Rule E20 – It is alleged that in or around the 17th minute of the fixture, Forest Green Rovers FC failed to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion

Forest Green Rovers U21 has until 1 June 2015 to respond

David Pipe, Forest Green Rovers U21
Bath City U21 v Forest Green Rovers U21
Development Friendly, 23 March 2015
Breach of FA Rule E3 - It is alleged that Mr Pipe's behaviour during the above fixture amounts to improper conduct and/or brought the game into disrepute

Pipe has until 1 June 2015 to respond

James Norwood, Forest Green Rovers U21
Bath City U21 v Forest Green Rovers U21
Development Friendly, 23 March 2015
Breach of FA Rule E3 - It is alleged that Mr Norwood's behaviour in failing to leave the field of play immediately following his dismissal amounts to improper conduct

Norwood has until 1 June 2015 to respond

James Jennings, Forest Green Rovers U21
Bath City U21 v Forest Green Rovers U21
Development Friendly, 23 March 2015
Breach of FA Rule E3 - It is alleged that Mr Jennings used abusive and/or insulting and/or threatening language and/or behaviour towards a Match Official

Jennings has until 1 June 2015 to respond

As I said before, ridiculous that this has led to a charge, other clubs be warned, behind closed doors games officiated by out of their depth officials could cost you suspensions. Next thing it will be training ground bust ups.

Well done Bromley ....... you certainly play to your strengths.... Emmanuel. I felt we lost the game when Henneghan dallied with the ball on the edge of the area and Emanuel easily dispossessed him a scored . We had a series of opportunities to get back into the game, but fluffed them all including the under-performing Hannah blasting one over the bar from 5 yards. It was so dire that I left at half time. Murmurs are starting to appear on Deva Chat that Burr is losing the plot. Thomson and Richards, who have yet to be given a decent chance, not even on bench and Burr publicly criticising them. All is not well.

Not sure why friendlies should impact on competitive games, that aside.. why couldn't Norwood have been banned while he was still at FGR, or even at the start of this season when he was injured? They had to wait until he hit form to ban him..

Directly impacted on us, Mangan and Norwood look a perfect partnership. Would have been a much more open game had he played yesterday.

Not nearly good enough for the league but it's good to see beevers rhead and hearn doing well at a level much more suited to the conference - all 3 - especially beevers - gave their all but just weren't good enough.

Hope lincoln come good, league 2 is devoid of local clubs

How on earth can you say that Hearn is not good enough for the league, he was injured for practically the whole time he was with you. How many game did he actually play, I'd be surprised if it was more than half a dozen. A fully fit Liam Hearn would be easily good enough for League 2 level at least.

I trust FGR won't be playing any more 'friendlies' v Bath City.

Beevers more a case of 'not anymore' perhaps. He spent most of his career with us at the top end of L2 and then went off to L1 for 3 or 4 years.

For the first time ever too!
Deserved a replay from an extremely tough tie but didn't get it in the end despite a strong second half showing. Biggest blow was losing our best player in Baggie to a red card after the final whistle on his return from injury.

He played 3 times Les.

A fully fit Liam Hearn would easily play in League 2 and more than likely League 1.

Ouch. We suffered a similar blow with John Johnston getting over eager after scoring the winner and going in two footed = Red.

Football League status is affecting said posters judgement I think. A bit like having your head in the clouds. He is indeed a good striker at this level.

Agree, not convinced he is suited to playing wide as we did and Allen never played him as a striker.

Seen the highlights and from the south stand camera I can see why Gallagher was sent off. It was a pretty silly challenge to be honest.
