Saturday 15th August:
Braintree v Tranmere
Cheltenham v Southport
Dover v Chester
Eastleigh v Lincoln
Halifax v Torquay
Forest Green v Barrow
Gateshead v Boreham Wood
Grimsby v Bromley
Guiseley v Kidderminster
Macclesfield v Welling
Woking v Altrincham
Wrexham v Aldershot

Rovers have played and won at Braintree in an FA cup tie where the first game was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. at one point it looked like that there might be a similar problem, but gather it's looking hopeful the game will go ahead now.

Ridehalgh, who was influential in the Gateshead win and Norwood are both in contention after injury concerns. I'd hope Brabin leaves the side unchanged, with Norwood to come on from the bench.

The hosts have lost both their games, while Rovers have won theirs. However, I doubt it will be as clearcut as those stats suggest. Score draw, probably 1-1 feels about right.

I'm off to Braintree, didn't do that cup game a couple of years ago. Tranmere always get beat by teams at the foot of the table, but hopefully this time we can nick a point or two. I'll go for 2-2 and I don't think as many people will travel as the Gateshead game.

Can anybody recommend any boozers in Braintree?

Gotta miss my first home game in yonks as we are in Milton Keynes for the weekend, and after the way we played Tuesday i'm pretty gutted to be missing this one.
3 - 0 Town i reckon.

Away supporters normally end up congregating in the orange tree opposite the ground. Personally I think its a proper dive though. Wetherspoons in town centre not too bad or if your into proper ales then the wagon and horses on South Street kinda specialises in that shit (not for me though).

Is that even open? it alway's looks boarded up when I've walked past it! I've always ended up in The Bull on my visits.

Anyway, on to us, fair old trek down to Dover, I'm doing it again although the travelling time is almost halved going by train thankfully. Not sure why they're segregating, they don't usually and there wasn't any issues last year so a bit of a strange one. Tough place to go and I'd be content with a point to be honest but we're in good nick so no reason why we can't come away with more.

Yes definitely open. I live about 50metres from the place and am privileged to witness the majority of drunks walking past my house every night!

Feeling pessimistic about today at Braintree, but then I was pessimistic before the Gateshead game too! I think it's just me...

I'll go for a 1-1 scrappy draw.

I said when the fixtures were announced that today's game will be the one that will be the kick-in that we're back in Non-League. Lincoln and Aldershot were teams we played recently in League 2, so felt just like our previous games with them. Southport though are linked to my greatest memory from watching Cheltenham as a non-league team:

We need to start scoring some goals. We've looked decent but not had that cutting edge. Hopefully that will come to the fore today.

We'll get bummed on the counter today, I think. We leave ourselves far too open at times. Plus, Eastleigh are full of pace and that's our weakness.

Don't think Wood travelled down so Beevers will be at RB with Bush LB I imagine.

Massive Game for Macc Today. They really could do with the three points and a goal or two..

We host Brackley today. Who signed Luke Graham from us in the summer and look to be a decent side this year from all accounts.

Fully expect another defeat.

Just seen Saturday's result, sounds like we got the result that Saturday's performance warranted. Fingers crossed we can put that one behind us and carry on in the same vein as Tuesday.

Got a feeling we're going to get something at Wrexham today. Hope Barry sets us up to attack again and Brodie scores on his debut.
I'm going for 1-2, Brodie and Brown to score.

Feeling confident for the first time in a while today, which means we'll be awful and won't win. Maybe I should of just said I wasn't feeling confident..

Braintree may be a small club but they aren't mugs at all, we always struggle against them.

Feeling confident about our game today, we usually do pretty well vs alty. Especially after our commanding performance on tuesday as well.

At the moment we look a little vulnerable but if we attack like we did on Tuesday I'm confident we will be too strong for Aldershot.

Big crowd. Big score. Another 3-1

Gutted to stuck at work and going have to listen on the radio. If we play like Tuesday, it will be entertaining at least. If we have the same amount of luck we'll win, but we can't be that lucky twice. 1-1

Been no mention of Power being injured, so I assume he's been dropped. Wood not risked after illness.

Farman, Beevers, Waterfall, Howe, Bush, Stanley, Sparrow, Nolan, Muldoon, Hearn, Rhead.

I just hope that's a diamond 4-4-2 and not flat with Nolan on the right wing...

Hurst is back from injury so we're finally starting 3-4-1-2 which was how we played during pre season. Hopefully this will be a truer test of how we will fare. Halifax have lost both of their games so far so of course they're likely to turn up today and get something out of it, but we shall see.

Could it not be a 4-3-3 with Stanley, Sparrow and Nolan in the middle and Muldoon on the right and Hearn on the left?

Could be, but Hortin and Pakey are both suggesting it's going to be a 4-4-2.

No way I'm ever going back to Braintree after the postponed FA cup tie, when it was called off as the coach got into the car park! I'm guessing we'll have 4-500 there though, as the southern exiles will boost the numbers. No idea re the score, could very easily slip up here. I'll go for an entertaining 2-2.

Briscoe in the hole too. All of a sudden it seems like we might actually have an attack today. Fisher, Quigley and Briscoe is a lot to handle in an aerial battle.

Watching Aldershot warm up, Barnes Homer doesn't seem to understand what hes meant to be doing. Half hearted isn't the word.

I'm getting depressed just thinking about Halifax v Torquay. What a terrible match to watch that promises to be.
