Something needs to be changed in our midfield from the Grimsby game. Stanley did ok, but Power and Nolan were poor, think Sparrow will be brought back in. Also if Hearn isn't fit for a start, I'd imagine Simmons will get a start over Robinson. Fingers crossed also Nat Brown isn't in the XI, feel quite sorry for Bush who has been in and out the side without doing a lot wrong.

Anyway I'm going for a narrow 2-1 defeat, Muldoon getting the goal.

We host Gainsbrough later. The closest thing to a local derby we have. Its 15 games now since we last won. Cant see it changing today. We have nothing up front other than bloody Joe the donkey Ironside.

It will be an absolute miracle if we get a result today. Jones, Ricketts and Yakubu all injured on Saturday leaves us with about 13 players including two goalkeepers. Add that to the fact we've only beaten Welling once in our last ten games.

It was heavy before, but it's dry now. It's pretty grey without being a massive concern. The pitch will be fine and the match will be 100% on (Famous last words).

With McLennan's red from Saturday not being overturned we now have no recognised left back. I think we have a little weakness in defence and having seen Dominic Vose's run for his goal on Saturday, that is exactly where we look vulnerable.

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic due to the fact we are unbeaten and I know we can't keep it up forever.

No idea, we've not been fed any information from the club. He's facing another fitness test before the game today having failed one on Saturday, and according to our local journo he's got strapping on his knee/thigh. Sadly it was always going to be a matter of when he got injured, not if.

I really like Rhead. He's an absolute nuisance and must be horrid to play against, but he suits our style of play. He wins the vast majority of his headers and he's actually scoring for us, which is a nice bonus. He's the type of player you love when he's playing for you but hate when he's on the opposing side.

Yeah, He became abit of a cult hero here in our Conference days, Never scored many goals but he was a big part of a lot of Greeny's goals the year we won it. Especially his flick on for the 92nd minute winner at Hereford. Glad he's doing well. Played 6 a side against him in the Summer we went up and remember running into him but the rest of that day is a blur.

Tweaked hammy currently doing a fitness test, it's strapped along with his knee, I'd rather wait til he's ok and risk will its playing up as he's bound to get niggles after so much time out injured.
Rhead has been far better than I thought he would 5 in 6 is amazing, can't run but who cares that's not his game but a very cool customer and winds up opposition players and fans alike.

If we're going to do anything this season we need Rhead and Hearn on the pitch together. As Saturday showed, without Hearn we have very little going forward.

Looking at the odds on William Hill, some of them seem insane. Boreham Wood 4/1 to win at Dover? Macclesfield 7/1 to win at Grimsby?! What?!

Having seen both Dover and Boreham Wood this season, I make Boreham Wood the better team. Yeah, Grimsby will probably beat Macclesfield, but 7/1? Come on!

Hurst has changed our whole midfield bar Robinson, whilst other sides have no need for wholesale changes Hurst lives and dies by them.
