That’s the Mauro we know and love! I was utterly surprised that it took him so long to find a NL club.
After being subject to the horrors of Binnom-Williams, Elliot Johnson looks amazing too.

Every manager we had thought he'd be "too small" for this level, every one of them was proven wrong.

Players of his size need to work twice as hard, fortunately he works about five times as hard.

Very happy and pleasantly surprised with the result considering our lineup but we’ve got away with one there. Johnson had to make some very good saves and Yeovil had a stonewall pen turned down and we go straight up the other end to score and make it 2-0. Fine margins.

Another goal for Hyde. When the liner called him offside I was convinced the ref would side with him but it was clear as day the Yeovil defender played at it. If only he’d have been fit all season.

That game was there for the taking, Maidenhead are dreadful. Think that's them out of the picture now.

5th-11th is up for grabs.

We've been out of the picture for several weeks, really. Not enough squad depth and we let games slip too easily.

As if Sir Danny Rowe hasn’t scored yet. Chesterfield sort yourselves out. Ruining his legacy. Just give him the ball should be the only instruction from your manager. The rest of the team run around like a prime Dirk Kuyt and give him the ball. Clearly a team full of plodders and have a go heroes. Recognise greatness by all means but don’t be intimidated by it.
Rowe reminds me of one those favourite ex league players who return to their old stomping ground for a testimonial still has a few nice touches but blows out of their arse after 15 minutes

Oh for fucks sake, HOW have we "got away with one there"? Because YOU couldn't see how we could win?

CLOWN! :bdick:

Definitely Paddy Madden 1-0 Danny Rowe so far in the battle for best big money Brotherhood signing in a bid to get promotion. But both better than Luke Steele.

One of those days for Pools.
Scrappy ,disjointed & when we did get a shot on goal,Cousins pulled off a great save.
Liddle sent off for feck all, while their player Bingham, fouled constantly throughout the game & never even got booked.
Not unexpected,we never beat Bromley.

Liddle shouldn't of even went in for the challenge, he gave the ref a choice to make, that fat porker Alabi was never gonna catch up with the ball the way it zipped down the line on that plastic surface, it was a daft tackle to go in for.

And Adi Yussuf. Chesterfield did their bollocks on signing him and I’m not even sure he’s scored a goal yet.

Madden is a good player to be fair, had my doubts on my first couple of views of him. But on closer look, his overall game is tidy, he puts in a shift and can finish well (which was the bit I was expecting). He does look a step above this level, whether he's worth what we paid for him we might find that out in the play offs.

Chesterfield have three pretty much guaranteed wins to come though, dont write them off yet.

He’s great. Has played well in the centre of midfield too. Good feet in tight spots too. Just needs a bit more composure when shooting. McCallum gave him pelters today after beating 2 men and then blazing over instead of sliding him in. He has a touch of the Jon Nurse about him. Play him anywhere and you’ll get a 7/10 whilst he raises the level of those around him.

Life stuff got in the way so didn't see or listen to the game. Had a bad feeling mind when I saw our line up.

We're out of the title race now for sure. We needed to win all the remaining games and hope one or two other results went our way. They haven't, Torquay are relentless, its them for the title and you can never rely on Chesterfield to do you any favours

We're fighting with Sutton for third. Torquay to win the league and Stockport second. Disappointed to be honest but that's Pools for ya. We just haven't been clinical enough throughout the season and as a result the away record is too patchy to challenge any titles.

6 (amended from 4) points off play offs with Wealdstone to come Saturday, we’ve done well the last couple of months and can have a big say in the play offs even if we don’t make it. Last four being Stockport, Halifax, Chesterfield and last game Wrexham. We’ve left it too late for us to get in but at least some of the squad have shown up and those that have failed will rightly be binned in the summer.

It was a bit like Weymouth (A) only Bromley should've scored more than one, we were cack first half but in the second we had plenty of neat short passing, loads of crosses into the six yard box mostly unmet by us, blocked shots in and around the box and a good oppo goalkeeping display, Armstrong should've equalised from about three yards, heads it against the post after the keeper parried it to him.

Saunders looked a bit headless, looked loads more threatening with Oates and then Elliot on.

Four points? I make it six points

Probably a stretch too far but looking at those fixtures you'll have a say in who makes it.

Heard Ravas had a mare with Bromley's goal? And Sterry at centre half? It was a weird selection and not surprised we stank the place out first half.

I don't fancy us to go up if we finish 4th. Top 3 is a must.
