Match thread!

Buzzing. Always a great game for the neutral with so much at stake, but a million times better to actually be involved in it. Our first trip to Wembley for 30 years, and my first trip there in my lifetime so it's a day I've literally been waiting for since I started following football.

The bookies make Norwich favourites, despite the two Boro victories this season in the fixtures between the sides, but I really don't think you can split the teams on an occasion like this. I think it will be very close, and wouldn't be surprised if we're all sitting there at the end biting our nails as penalties are being taken.

Whatever happens, I'm just glad that it's one of 3rd or 4th who are going to be promoted along with Bournemouth and Watford. It's a shame one of the four will unfortunately miss out as we all deserve it. The battle in the last couple of months of the season, with none of the sides refusing to drop points, made for probably the best Championship promotion race there has ever been.

If Alex Neil can pull this off, considering our rather underwhelming position when he first walked through the door, it would be one of the biggest stories in the clubs history.

I'm so excited about going. I've wanted to go to Wembley for ages but didn't expect that I'd be going there to watch Norwich. Going to be a mad scrum to get the final few tickets tonight and I'll be on there trying to get one for my mate. Hopefully there will be some returned from Club Wembley and it will make it a little easier.

Where are you sitting Hooray? Row 2 Block 110 for me.

As for the game itself. Middlesbrough are exactly the sort of team that we haven't done very well against this season and that worries me slightly but we surely can't lose to them three times in a row?!? The first goal is all important here, if Middlesbrough can score first and then stick everyone behind the ball like they did at Carrow Road then I think they'll win this, if we get the first goal and force Middlesbrough to come out and play then I think we could well get a second as gaps begin to appear.

Yeah, imagine losing to the same team three times in one season. :shut:

I'd make Middlesbrough slight favourites, given they've shown that they've got a game plan that works against Norwich, but I agree that the first goal is vital.

I've got mine. Block 120, Row 18. :bg:

Ticketing has been a bit of a farce from both sides.

Norwich: given STH & priority members 5 days to book one ticket each, then tonight at 6pm instead of going on general sale (as everybody expected), the remaining tickets are only available to the people who already have one. Also, away season ticket holders weren't included in that group which seems wrong. Some who have been to every away game this season look like they might miss out on a trip to Wembley. It's now been said that they can buy tickets from 6pm tonight but with only about 7k left and them now saying if you buy a priority membership for 2015/16 you're also eligible, it's going to be bedlam.

Middlesbrough: gave STH & priority members Saturday + Sunday and then put them on general sale Monday allowing people to buy up to 4 tickets each. So obviously they sold quickly before having to suspend selling just in case there weren't enough for STH who hadn't had the chance to get theirs yet.

I don't actually like a great deal about Boro; shit hole, unpleasant mob who have the biggest chip on their shoulders for the past 30 years, over inflated egos on and off the pitch etc.

I'm in 110 too, but further back more like row 25ish, certainly behind the tunnel entrances.

I'm a Cambridge season ticket holder but my wife is a Norwich fan and we have super memberships (and have therefore been to 7 games this season - 4 home and 3 away and I've done a similar number home and away over the past 5 seasons or so). While that doesn't make me the most deserving of a ticket, I am probably more deserving than some people who are going to end up with one.

I think Norwich have got a great chance. Middlesbrough (or is it Middlesborough?!) are clearly a great defensive side but in a one off game, you just don't know what's going to happen. Momentum is irrelevant frankly, as is form to be honest. As said above, it's good that 3 out of Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich and Middlesbrough will go up, it's just a shame that one will miss out.

I personally love Wembley, I've been to the new one 4 times with Cambridge now. Although I do get why it's not everyone's cup of tea, I think it's a fantastic stadium. The sense of occasion you get from walking out of the tube station really gets the tension building. Beer is expensive in the ground (but this is London, it's around a fiver a pint anywhere these days) but food is extortionate inside. However the view from any seat is pretty amazing.

Whilst Boro will be hoping for the exact same performance they put in at Carrow Road a month or so ago I'm hoping for the complete opposite. A nice open game, good football, good goals and a high scoring Norwich win please.

1-0 Boro probably.

I have the misfortune of working with some of the most plastic, arrogant Middlesbrough fans that you could ever wish to meet.

Come on Norwich!

The sad thing is that all club's probably have the same morons that I'm talking about above, but I just don't have to work with those on a daily basis.

I know a few decent Boro fans who follow their team all over the country, and if they get promoted I'll be pleased for them.

hi people.

A friend and I have two tickets for the playoffs on Monday. We managed to get sent Boro tickets and wondered if anyone wanted to or knew of anyone that would want to swap these for tickets in the Norwich section?

Please get in contact if interested.

I'm feeling so much more relaxed than last week. Not nervous at all. I'm good whatever the outcome unlike the game last week where defeat would have been the worst thing imaginable. A win would be great for obvious reasons. A defeat keeps us in the best division in world football. Win-win. Looking forward it and expecting it to be a decent day whatever the result - not often I get the chance to see Norwich at Wembley.

I just hope we get to see a proper football match rather than have a repeat of that negative bullshit served up between the two at Carrow Road a few weeks ago.

You 'managed' to get Boro tickets? You mean you went on the Boro site and bought Boro tickets.

I think my excitement at going to Wembley is masking my nerves at this point.

Hopefully it's a better game than ours last season, pretty much dominated the second half only to walk away with nothing. An even game with some goals please and I don't really mind either team going up, if I had to choose probably Norwich because Middlesbrough fans annoy me.

My only worry is because Karanka has come from Mourinhio he will use his type of tactics, sit back and nick a goal on the counter. Would become only good for Boro fans then.

no. there was simply a mix up and we were meant to get neutral tickets. thanks for the really helpful sarcastic comment.

I feel sorry for the losing team, especially if you go on coach. Went on coach when we lost and we proceeded to be stuck in the coach park for 1 and a half hours, must have taken 2 and a half to get out of London. Awful.

There is some nice news for you ;)

Have both teams sold out?

For selfish reasons, I kind of hope M'boro go up - due to the fact I've never been to Carrow Road, but I'm fearful that Norwich will piss the Championship next season should they stay down.

I don't mind who wins. I like Norwich and Boro have been stuck in the second tier for a while so it'll be nice to see them back up.

I can see that we have quite a few Norwich fans who are going. Have a good day out chaps!

Great start to the game, last 90 seconds both have hit the bar and the way Boro played it out from the back was superb.

Elliot Johnson and Voseen both hit the bar for their retrospective sides.
