Good thing about tonight, was goals came from elsewhere, other than our strikers. We are starting to get goals from elsewhere in the team and that's a good sign.

Grimsby the best side we've played, home and away. :ds:
Haha I don’t think many others will be sharing that view.
Although my lad did text me and said we shouldn’t have lost and that Crookes is an idiot.

Only Wrexham doing a ‘Chris Wood’ and poaching Peter ‘Pete’ Wild can halt the Shaymen now, IMO

Our first back to back wins of the season another sign of how we are improving.

It’s a shame we can’t play Alty a few more times this season. Guaranteed three points.

For what it’s worth fishy fans I thought 0-0 would have been fair but it was a definite pen. Allen got wrong side of your defender and he took him out.

That being said, once we got ahead. It never felt in doubt. Complete opposite of at your place, we actually kept the ball and stayed composed not allowing you to sustain pressure.

Big result that. We looked absolutely out on our feet at end. We desperately need a body or two in urgently.

Yeah my Son is very biased but even he said it was a definite pen and a stupid challenge.

Was more of a pen if he had gone down at first contact I thought but there will still contact as he went further into the box

Move along, nothing to see hear just a poorly supported team keeping the top of the table warm for when Wrexham go and buy up half the L2 players during the rest of January.

Stockport County.
We barely got out of of second gear there. Almost too comfortable. Need to keep getting results. We're the best side in the league in my opinion but we need to prove it.

To be fair Grimsby gave us a hell of a game, must've been a good one for the few neutrals in the ground but my nerves were a wreck in last 10 mins. The header from a Grimsby that was a whisper over the bar first half could well of been a turning point but then again with some of their shooting on display, possibly not.

On a side note i have absolutely no idea how the ref only added on one min extra in the first half when we had a player down for 5 and then Grimsby made a sub. It's almost like the refs make this shit up as they go along.

You can imagine Wild walking out and seeing all the gaps in the stands tonight and thinking, "I'm wasting my fucking time here". :dk:

It's January.

We've been in this league long enough to know any side in the top half can still win it. Seen sides go on mental runs from nowhere before and go up.

Gonna be an absolute slog, can make a case for five or six teams and Halifax are absolutely one of them.

Once again, it’s absolutely criminal that only 2 go up when League 2 is so full of shite as well

When I said Hurst should fear for his job a few weeks ago a few opposition fans on here seemed surprised.

We’ve now won 1 game in 11, losing 9 of those.

The worst bit is he’s not going anywhere and he knows it
You all thought he was great in the summer though. Knows the division etc etc.

Tbf so did I, thought you'd be a cert for the playoffs.

That run of form should be a sackable offence for any manager of any Brotherhood club in any league, nevermind this tinpot one.

Tranmere and Mansfield stick in my mind. Were Tranmere even top half halfway through? I remember a number of their fans wanting Mellon gone early in the season.

Helps when you've played about 30 games more than the teams immediately below you.

If Grimsby and Southend managers were asked at start of last season to vote on a three up down, nailed on they would have voted against. Managers (and fans) only think the system is unfair when it's their team trying to get out of this quagmire.

Some of us can see past club bias and accept that there should quite clearly be a minimum 3 promotion spots from this league. Personally, my pinion would be the same if we were battling relegation in L2.
