And there was me thinking Lincoln fans were naive for suggesting we've still got a shot at the play-offs!
We still have to play them both anyway. Serious long shot and I'm clutching at the thinnest of straws really.

Time to start reffing some of these tinpotters out of contention.

The 'unpopular part-timers' Dover, Bromley and Woking have all successfully been reffed out of the play-offs by the National League, so now the attention turns to Braintree. Obviously it's already underway following the Guiseley incident on Saturday.

Woe be us!!! Its the refs fault!!!

We wont beat 47k if we make the play off final, especially at wembley prices, hardly conducive to the day tripper anymore. We would take 15000 no more im afraid, just asked the 4 lads im sat with, 2 reds 1 blue and a manc and they all instantly said no they wouldnt go and cheer us on

This. We only just sold out our 29,500 for the League Cup final, I'd be surprised if we took half that to be honest. Long way to go before we can even talk about it, mind!

It's a dangerous and concerning possibility that they will make it, so hopefully Saturday was a merely a taster of things to come. Call it payback for them taking their usual winter break.

Fucking Braintree, really....at least this completely invalidates any future budget excuse that our current/future managers will trot out, theirs is what, a bottle of fake bake and a Joey Essex LP?

The Dover chairman has threatened to walk away again after only 588 turned up to watch them tonight.

Has the Dover chairman said something tonight?

Bloody Braintree. How dare they keep winning, don't they know their place?

Only just over 500 at our game tonight. What more can we do to increase our gates. Oh I know, tell people to get off their fat arses and come and watch some genuine footballers instead of watching over paid prima donnas of the Premier League.

Kidderminster were a decent hard working side who played far better than their league position shows. Hope they bounce back up next season.

It's funny how so many people have said this all season bar maybe FGR, Lincoln and Wrexham. We seem to play well just never win.

Well ask the fgr staff because they do it in a smaller population in a rugby rich County!

Yessss thank you Chris todd!! I think Cheltenham actually want us to win this!!
Could say the same about your lot after throwing away a 2-0 lead at Barrow :D

Bit disappointing the unbeaten run's over but had this one down as a loss anyway so not too down about it. We've had some absolute shite luck with injuries though, Dayton and Phillips added to the list tonight. Much more gutted about that than the result, and if we can still win the league without Phillips, Dickie, Downes, Pell, Dayton and Morgan-Smith (who is close to returning finally) then we'll fucking well deserve it. Will be cheering on Grimsby on Friday and then no excuse if we don't get three points at Welling on Saturday.

Sell season tickets cheap and you get the secondry spends. Do a few freebies. Season ticket holders, bring a mate. All tried at Eastleigh. You can take the piss all you want but our crowds are growing. Dont just try and get more cash out of your fans you already have. Better to have 100 paying £5 than 25 paying a £15.
Oh and we had a few bits of luck today. Nice goal and they had a stonewall pen first half not given

Alfreton 2-3 Telford (Thanoj 57, Bradley 76) (Wilson 65,79 McCarthy 84)

Well what a night at the Impact Arena. For all the wrong reasons in the end! Well not the first half. Total Non Event with pretty much nothing happened. Any fan moaning about the lack of entertainment however at HT where not to be disappointed in the second half.

Andi Thanoj opened the scoring with a beauty off a free kick just before the hour. He seems to have gathered himself a cult following after being the subject of something on a Fifa Youtuber channel?! No me neither.

Anyway Telford responded soon after. They will very much like Corby. They were poor technically but battled and grafted really hard. Fortunate to get the win mind.

Josh Wilson levelled matters at 1-1 with 20 minutes to play as he was given far too much room in the box aftera few deflections.

With 14 minutes to go Man of the Match Dan Bradley popped up with the goal of the season for me. Cutting in from the left, beating a few defenders before smashing the ball home from all of 30 yards! Absolute beauty. We were then caught cold as the old cliche your most vurenable whn you have just scored game in to effect as Josh Wilson grabbed his and Telfords second with a bullet header to make it 2-2.

That wasnt the end of the breathless period as Sam Jones hit the post before the Telford keeper saved superbly from a close range Dan Bradley header. The Telford goal then continued to live a charmed life as 3 goal mouth scrambles were somehow cleared.

Connor McCarthy then picked the ball up the left went on a mazy solo run left the defence in his wake and found the bottom corner to finish off a remarkable turnaround.

Once again Telford rode their luck as Jordan and Bradley saw efforts blocked on the line in the closing minutes.

Absolutely gutted to lose the 14 game unbeaten run in those circumstances. To be 2-1 up at home to the bottom of the league with 14 to play is not play-off form. To makes matters worse other results went absolutely perfectly for us too! Dan Bradleystroke deserved better.

It easy to see where we have gone wrong though. Just 3 points from 21 against 21st,20th,17th and 18th in the league just isnt good enough.

On the plus side.. I won 28 quid in the 50-50 Draw! GET IN!

If only our chairman believed that...

Why don't you like Telford? I hope they stay up and I think they might just do it!
Us and telford dont really get on. They beat us contreversary in the Conference Norrth play-offs. We then went toe ro toe with for the onference North title the next year and won. Then in 2011 there was a bit of trouble at their place with both sets of fans.

Hope they stay up in one way as their set up is good but we seem to play them year in year out. Tiresome. Exactly the same with Nuneaton.

Dark sith lord, any chance of making your match reports a bit shorter? The longer they are, the longer it takes to skip them. Cheers.

And posted in the wrong thread, again.
