And there was me thinking Lincoln fans were naive for suggesting we've still got a shot at the play-offs!
Yeah but you're significantly shitter than us.
As Paul has said, it's a long shot, but at least it gives us a bit of something to play for and we do have #teamgloucestershire to play away twice as well as the games in hand. Are we absolute plonkers for investing in such a fragile smithereen of hope again? YES. Is that gonna stop us? No way. Especially not right before FGR away from home on the telly.
Personally, I'm starting to think I would rather potentially face Cheltenham in the playoffs over FGR too. Firstly, for 05/06 revenge and secondly because I don't think I could face the prospect of losing to ChrisForestGreenRoidrage at Wembley. I would much rather the smug wrath is divvied up around the whole forum and not just focused on the Grimsby fans.

And posted in the wrong thread, again.
This is the Non League section's match thread regarding people's thoughts and reviews on last night's non league matches. DSL has attended a non league match and provided his review of it, so as far as I can tell, this is the correct thread for this.

Dark sith lord, any chance of making your match reports a bit shorter? The longer they are, the longer it takes to skip them. Cheers.
He can't understand that no one's interested in his club now they're not in Conference Premier and they're back in the obscurity they came from . Football League my arse, still laughing my socks off at that one. :bye:

A bit disappointed with last night. Not because we lost, we had to lose again at some point and, frankly, we seemed to be focusing so much on the unbeaten run I think it was taking away from the actual mission of the season. As others have said elsewhere, that monkey is off our back.

What I'm disappointed with is the fact that we seemed to play exactly like we did against Gateshead, lethargic and not really creating anything. For the second game in a row there appeared to be no plan b. The loss of Dillon Phillips (if it is as serious as has been suggested) could be season defining. I've heard very good things about our back-up, Calum Kitscha, but I've not seen him play yet and Dillon has truly been a rock.

As has been the case for the last couple of months, it's still in our hands regardless of what happens in the FGR-Grimsby game on Friday, and we really should be looking to bounce back away at Welling on Saturday.

Seems the community vibe was going strong last night I see?!
Sorry I didn't realize skipping a post your not interested had become such a difficult thing for you to do.

I rarely post long Match Reports but last night was an eventful game and I wanted to get the full story across..

I am fully aware that the majority on here dont read my posts, especially when they are long and that it absolutely fine. However, It might come as a shock to you but there are some on here Interested in what happens below the Conference Premier.

I don't think they're being entirely serious, DSL!

NO. This is VERY serious!!!1!1!!!11!

When Woking get relegated next season, I shall post only about Woking's matches in the Conference South thread. I expect you to do the same with Kidderminster in the Conference North thread next season.

I've never seen you post anything about Woking's matches so why are you planning on starting next season?

I'm starting to come to terms with FGR possibly getting promotion into the League. Part of me would prefer them to go up over Cheltenham (not sure why though). At least it would be someone new for the media and fans of long standing league teams to have to get to know.

"Forest Green Rovers today"
"Forest Green...sounds nice. Where's that?"
"Nailsworth"
"Never heard of it. Where is that?"
"Near Stroud"
"Still no clue. Where is Stroud?"
"Gloucestershire I think."
*Gets map* "Where is Gloucestershire? West isn't it?"
"I think so. No that's Devon you're too far over"
*continues for some hours*

No, we're really easy to find. Nailsworth is directly above the centre of the earth in fact.

Don't say things like that, you will only provoke (insert name of Gas fan here) into agreeing with you, and I thought we had waved them goodbye at the end of last season!

Why specific threads for the North & South divisions then?

I thought the Conference North and South threads were for general news regarding those divisions and the match threads were for all non-league games (hence Jemfy getting het up over Rushden's lack of conclusion).
This^^. Great post Simon.

That Alfreton match report also appears in the North thread so now I don't know what to believe anymore, man.

Exactly. DSL knows he shouldn't post it amongst the big boys but he does anyway, while also posting it in the Conference North thread. I want justice for 1FF users.
