Munkiki is signing up tomorrow.

He has work at 4am, so had to go to bed early.

I liked The football empire. I was a mod there and had power. Didn't even get a chance to abuse it.

I'll share this page on Facebook and things a bit when the shit from the TFFalypse dies down. Will possibly pick up a few ex-TFFers along with some football-minded metal-heads, which we're clearly lacking.

Evening,

Thanks for this guys - really impressed by the way people seem to be coming together in order to keep a website alive. I'm half asleep as I've just come back from work - but I'll get into a proper post tommorrow. I can Email you all at the click of a button - which certainly helps things!

The best we have right now is word of mouth, signing up to other clubs forums and spreading the word on social media - the TFF twitter should help that.. there would I imagine, be a flux of people signing up to the other 'football forums' website tonight which I'm a member of already, so I'll have a scout around tommorrow at some point!

What's happened to TFF then? Didn't even know it was closing.

I'll post a rather more long winded explanation on that tommorrow. However, they did plan to close 'naturally' in March and we 'think' that because of a number of reasons (namely a new start up) that Admin may have had enough and just shut it on the spot, hard to speculate though.

It's a bit of a knee jerk reaction which has left a fair few people with no idea where the new start up is. They could've just given us till tonight to tell members where to go.

Does deems very petty of admin to close TFF down with no notice. Also gives us the lasting impression of them that, despite the work they put into the forum, they just didn't give a shit.

The way I see it is that they had been planning on evacuating for a while but didn't have a good enough pretext. The shoutbox incident gave them one. All the admin bar Pagnell were barely on it anymore. Rather than let the new guard take over, they decided to nuke it because apparently their skewed sense of nostalgia is more important than the preservation of a community that encompassed thousands of other people.

Bitter way for it all to end if that's the case but never mind.

They were granting permission for people to post links to new forums so seems odd .

Whoops, was meant to quote Saddler.

Bit shit that like. Nice one for getting a replacement going anyway, will try and sort a subscription payment out this week.

Would quite like to see some of the Rotherham lot over here, they were usually quite active posters. Millerbri, etc, can't remember most of their usernames though...

The wolves lot were good for a laugh. The last couple of years have been great getting promoted with them. Hopefully they'll find their way
