I know this sounds obvious but the difference really was the finishes.

We weren't amazing but were clinical and I'd say 4-0 slightly flattered us.

Colchester looked threatening but had no end product I think they'll do ok this season they have some good players for this level.

Thanks mate , sounds quite bad . Ruptured patella possibly and a giant
I've heard broken leg but not sure where that's come from. We'll be able to see as soon as the goals are up on Sky Sports as he did it trying to prevent their first.

This might have already been explained and I’ve missed it…

But why does Carver hate Grimsby so much?

The problem is the fact that they didn't sack Simpson sooner and give a new manager the whole summer to put his plans in place, now we have to wait until fucking January again.

Another season wasted thanks to Paul fucking Simpson.

That’s another part of the problem

He hates the fact we have real home grown supporters running the club and Carlisle don't. Plus our shirts are better than yours most seasons!

Thought Swindon were absolutely dreadful. All the stats point to us dominating the game, yet the scoreline suggests a close game. We were miles better than them but made it nervy. 5th in the league, 10 from 12, we're starting to tick.

Thought the Carlisle Grimsby game was pretty poor. Carlisle deserved their ht lead because Grimsby hadn’t shown up.
In the second half Carlisle lacked desire & application, maybe they thought they had done enough?
Over the 90 mins Grimsby deserved their victory. Williamson has a hell of a job on his hands after watching that. Armstrong, Wkye etc Maybe on big bucks but lacked any desire. They were cruising but contributed very little

All about staying up this season, which I still believe we will. Anything above second bottom is job done.

It's dead hard to stop downward momentum ,,however much money , manager or good players you have isn't it . I think Williamson in the long run will do a decent job for you tbf - he's more a modern coach than manager isn't he and won't be up and down . Simpson was very much a flat cap manager and I feel now that era is going to some degree ; when a manager runs a club from top to bottom .

Surprised with Walsall to be honest. Their squad didn't look up to much in all honesty but they've done very well so far. Think Barrow have just had a good run and will drop off. Gillingham look strong.

That’s nonsense imo. Any club that spends the amount of money Carlisle have, expect to finish much higher than 3rd from bottom. Seems the players have similar attitudes though

Cracking away win by Fleetwood, back to back wins on the road. Great to see our academy player Kayden Hughes cementing his place in the side, and Matty Virtue getting his first ever brace in professional football. A clean sheet on the road always goes down well, Charlie Adam is doing a good job

Really good performance by us today I thought. Good defensive effort, Naylor back in midfield is important, Madden is a very good presence up front. Liked what I saw. Finally getting some bodies back

Not half. Barely touched the ball and spent most of the time mouthing off at the away end. Maybe time to pack it in Billy lad…
One of the funniest things I’ve seen at a football game when he started mouthing off at our fans and giving out the hand gestures after getting booked for dissent

Fucking brilliant, Mardy twat. Hang em up fat lad you don’t need that in your life anymore

He played quite well against us but it was in a period where we still didn't know each other and we let him dictate a little. He looked old though. I suspect he'll struggle over a season.

Play them again today and I think we'd win.

A bit more like it today, good battling win. Good to get a couple back from injury and suspension. Jameson had a good game in particular. Dem is still a Rolls Royce of a CB for L2. How we let him leave was fecking crazy.

It’s not nonsense, it’s my view, my expectations. It’s not the clubs. The clubs official line is they are still going for promotion which is absolute pie in the sky.
