The fixtures come thick and fast at this time of year!

Tomorrows fixtures

Braintree v Welling United
Cheltenham v Torquay
Chester v Macclesfield
Dover v Bromley
Eastleigh v Aldershot
FC Halifax Town v Wrexham
Forest Green v Kidderminster
Gateshead v Guiseley
Grimsby v Lincoln (12.30pm Live on BT Sport)
Southport v Barrow
Tranmere v Altrincham
Woking v Boreham Wood.

Grimsby - Lincoln stands out as the biggest game. Looking down the fixtures I can see a high number of home wins tomorrow.

Altrincham away was probably one of the worst performances of the season for us so I'm expecting a much better performance this time around. Hopefully the players have gained some confidence from the win at Macclesfield. 9 points over the Christmas period would see us back near the playoffs.

I'll go for 2-0 Tranmere, Norwood and Mekki with the goals, attendance of 5600.

Not sure what to expect. Thought we'd hammer Torquay given their league position and getting stuffed at Chester a couple of weeks ago, but beating FGR 4-1 will certainly give everyone there a big boost. Should still be winning this one though, so I'll say 2-0 to the Robins.

At some point we will actually get to play torquay!!! It depends tomorrow if brabin lets the players play a comfortable home win if he does his tinkerman thing and puts norwood on the wing and maynard at full back and possibly davies at centre half the crowd will vent its frustrations the players will crumble again and we will get beat

Drew with Bromley earlier in the season but we should have too much for them tomorrow...no trains between Folkestone and Dover for the foreseeable future so not sure how many they will bring. We'd like to stay up here a bit longer before we get reffed out of the play-offs

Here we go again, another tinpotter suddenly coming into their best form of the season before playing us. We'll lose again.

Can't wait. Our form has nose-dived since the Hearn debacle. Roll on the January transfer window!

I'll not be there because of, er, lots of dog shit on the pavements. We're not used to that around Sincil Bank (I actually have a half decent excuse).

All the sides that are in the relegation mini league are away apart from us and Southport. We could possibly be a point from 20th with a game in hand by the end of the day but the flip side is that should we lose it is likely that results elsewhere will soften the blow. Now Wrexham don't have a cheating c*** as a manager we might get a fair crack of a whip with the ref this time round.

P.S Another Southport win and it may be time to stop considering them as fighting for survival?

Southport are the eternal relegation fodder. They'll be back in the nether regions before the season is done. :ds:

Rovers will typically follow a good result at Macc by an indifferent one at home to Alty. Or can Brabin surprise us, stop tinkering and get two wins on the bounce... Think the crowd will top 5k, but not by much. Too bug-ridden to make this one.

Of the strugglers, Southport look best-placed to improve, while it will be interesting to see if Torquay carry on in the same vein after their good win on Boxing Day.

Today will be an absolute no-contest. Grimsby by 3+ goals, us to string no more than three successive passes together along the floor. Bradley Wood to get sent off because he's a moron.

Home end sold out for us today, looking at 8k plus for a game on TV and early kickoff.

My one and only game this season before I go back to Cyprus so we will probably lose now

We have forgotten how to score lately so I would be staggered if we win by 3+ goals.
Add in the fact that we havn't managed to beat you at home since 2011/12 season and it has all the ingredients for a draw.
With a man sent off apiece.
However if your prediction rings true I will delightedly hold my hands up as being wrong!

8000 is extremely impressive for this league and quite possibly one of the largest ever at this level, well done Grimsby.
The League Record attendance is 11,085.

This came on the final day of last season when Bristol Rovers thrashed Alfreton Town 7-0. There were 97 Alfreton Fans!!

If I remember correctly Luton had a lot of gates that high when they were doing well down here.
Edit: And just read DSL's post there was of course Bristol Rovers as well.

Tough ask for us Today as we host League Leaders Solihull Moors who have lost just once all season in the league. Could really do with the win obviously but anything is a nice bonus.

Boreham Wood have some good players. They often only lose by the odd goal. Going to be tough.

I expect our unbeaten run to come to an end with a bump.

Vose is apparently back today and he'll run through our defence like a hot knife through butter. We copee against a big physical direct side but a bit of pace and movement and we'll really struggle (again)

I think the record previous to Brizzle's was an Oxford match. This could well end up being this season's highest, though. Could see Tranmere vs us being high if we both have something to play for on the final day of the season.

Just finished work and now off until 3rd January. Made a curry and got the beers in. Buzzing for this match, really hope it will be a decent match with us winning. Although as I said about Dover before the match started, I'll take a scrappy/lucky 1-0 win. On paper, we should win. We've got those extra days rest too after the Guiseley match being called off. However, Lincoln are more than capable of springing a surprise at Blundell Park. I'm hoping I don't have to start having Rhead nightmares to go with those Simon Yeo ones from a decade or so ago.

It's an absolute guaranteed home win for the Mariners today. Only even worse than that is it will be viewed by the nation so everyone else can see just how shit we have become over the last few weeks. We do not have a plan B, it will be the usual longball up to Rhead so all Grimsby have to do is to nullify his threat and it will be easy. I am going for at least the Cods to win by 2 clear goals. Going to be a shame for the the 1200-1300 Impies in Cleethorpes but the January window is going to be huge if it's going to halt our annual league capitulation after Xmas.

Braintree have done it again apparently. Their people telling everyone the pitch is fine to play, then a local ref arrives and calls it off. Time for the league to do something about these tinpot idiots.

We dont have Charlee Adams to turn the game with a 35 yarder this season

I'm not expecting anything special from us today, we've but in some monumental efforts in bad conditions recently and I think it will take its toll. Plus, Barrow will be nicely fresh and rested. I'd take a point right now.

Southport are the eternal relegation fodder. They'll be back in the nether regions before the season is done. :ds:

We are also eternal escape artists! I'm sure we'll both pull away and leave the southern cannon fodder to drop.

Looks like we've, correctly in my opinion, shored the midfield up and gone 4-2-3-1, switching from 4-4-2.

Farman, Wood, Waterfall, Howe, Beevers, Tempest, Stanley, Power, Muldoon, Hawkridge, Rhead.

Horrendous bench, and I note even Blisset can't get on it now - not sure he'll be around much past the 4th. Let's hope Power continues having decent games against Grimsby. It's one of the few where he actually turns up.
