wouldn't actually free up any money to give anyone new a contract as you're still stuck with the salary cap. Yes it might help pay for some of the contracts you gave out before the salary cap came in though as even if say a £3k* a week contract was given out - but only counts at the league average for cap purposes it still needs to be fully paid for.
Our capacity at present is 6,400 - but the ground has held 16,874.
