Where have all these Chesterfield fans come from? Have they started winning or something?

Hope you’re all ok after yesterday’s announcement particularly the guy who wanted us to go bust. Fingers crossed that Ryan Reynolds films some new cringey skit to take the heat off us.

I quite like Ryan Reynolds to be fair, seems a pretty normal bloke for someone who works in the film industry.

Was it Wooderson brought it up? You've got a lot to answer for here son. Set a huge bonfire off then sailed off into the sunset.

This dog reflecting on Matt Green's penalty on that fateful day in April 2013 will never be topped on this forum. It was tough on the little fella when they dropped into the basement and he feared for the future of the club but he stuck by The Stags and he's standing proud and tall watching the bus parade roll on by here.

Fucking hell, I thought the Luton fans on here were bad.

Even had that one Luton fan taking it as a personal insult when Andre Gray wasn’t put in the 1FF team of the season.

But Chesterfield reacting to comments about frost covers as if you’ve shot their entire family surely takes the biscuit.
I used to post on the blue square forum before it just disappeared one day and the Luton fans on there were a special bunch too, one of them was so cocky he said he was getting odds to have a bet on Luton going through whole season unbeaten, and they then went and lost their first game.

It was really disappointing when Luton got their act together, they were really good value.

I will never forgive John Still for that.

winning 3-2 at luton in the last minute, was class.

They didn’t take kindly to it.

When they got to the 5th round of the fa cup didn’t one of their fans claim they were only a game away from being a game away from being in the semi final or something

Jesus, we didn’t even TRIGGER everyone this much when we were genuinely begging fans to help pay players wages to keep us in the league.

Well apart from a few chairman of other clubs but what harm could they do hey? Ah…..

On the contrary, our puerile tinpottery over a frost cover and the seething rage it has generated amongst some has merely added another glorious chapter to a fine thread.

You’ll look back on this and thank us in years to come.

Apologies for prodding the frost-cover-wasps-nest again, but...

Imagine Chesterfield having a couple of games called off due to frost, prior to their new Community Frost Covers arriving.

Then, once you've imagined that, imagine them playing the rearranged fixtures later in the season, when Tshimanga is injured/suspended.

And once you've imagined that, imagine them losing, meaning they miss out on automatic promotion.

I mean, that would be *quite* funny, wouldn't it?

No Glyn. No, it would not. It’d be rather harrowing.

Yeah, I reckon you lot can be forgiven for sinking down that extra level anyway. Glad you all had a lovely night, was a cracker of a match.

I guess Hull would be the equivalent for us?

Blundell Park pitch invasions I can remember off the top of my head in my life are:
Exeter '91: Last day auto promotion and my second ever match.
Spurs '06: League Cup 3rd (?) Round win.
Eastleigh '15: Playoff semi win before losing to Bristol Rovers in the final on sudden death.

I've probably missed one or two, I think?
It depends what gets classified as a pitch invasion, we've certainly had a fair few 'encroachments' after scoring in recent years. The only really nasty pitch invasion I can remember in recent years was when we got relegated into the NLN at Kiddy, some of our lot went on the pitch mainly to remonstrate with our own players about a total lack of effort all season. Unfortunately a Kiddy player got involved in the confrontation and was punched in the face. Amazingly the guy who did it just got a banning order and some other community stuff BUT didn't get sent down which most of us thought would be a shoe in considering it got loads of coverage in the national papers. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...yer-PUNCHED-Stockport-fan-pitch-invasion.html

I had no idea Zammo from Grange Hill was a Stockport fan.

Three year ban, should've been a three year season ticket, the lucky bastard

He's tiny as well, fair play for even being able to reach that high
