Pretty sure I've heard of TNS including people in the adjoining leisure centre as part of their attendance.

They get quite a bit of cash for winning the WPL (+ Euro money), so there's a temptation to stay. There have been rumours about trying to get into the English pyramid,. but where would they start? Can't imagine they'd want to start at the bottom (where it'd be fair for them to start).

Oswestry Town were one of the founder members of the FAW in the 19th Century, I don't think it's wrong for them to play in the Welsh system.

The prize money for the Champions league isnt to be sniffed at 200k (Euros) for just making the first qualifying round.

There have been Welsh teams in the English leagues since their inception, and vice versa. Not sure why some people can't get their heads around it really. But it's a handy stick to beat TNS with I guess, same as with us really!

Funny you should say that. Got a mate who plays for FC Oswestry, the real continuation of the club, and they play in the Mercian League in England.

The obvious place for them to come in at is step 4 in the place of giving someone a reprieve - i.e. be viewed as if they were promoted from a step 5 league. Sods law is they will decide they want to come over in time for the first ever season where there are no reprieves handed out!

Anywhere else would depend on individual reprieve situations of course, as well as creating potential unpopular sideways moves. Step 4 is certainly the easiest place to put them in.

Not tinpot, but I enjoyed the Edinburgh City programme last weekend.

Firstly, they haven't finished the league season yet, although have already won the play-offs. They had already won the Lowland League, and so had to play Cove Rangers, who won the Highland League, and then the winners faced East Stirling. With the play-offs being time specific, they had to play these games without completing the league season.

They were at least honest in the programme fixture list regarding dates...

Also interestingly, they have one player with a squad number - No. 21 Joe Mbu, and the programme again explains why...

Any fucking Grimsby fans want it after the game? FG firm is ready. Clobber sharp. Noses filled with charlie. Fists itching. #UTFGR

Looking good in my Ralphie shirt. Butterflies in stomach. Pre-scrap nerves. Expecting heavy resistance from Grimsby. Fisticuffs. Violence.

Boozer is packed. Full of bods. Stinks of pure Forest Green in here. Raucous atmosphere. Like a zoo. Firm are bang up for it today. #UTFGR

One of the reasons for Weston's new badge

"We chose to bring the Seagull to the front of the crest, giving it more of a majestic and proud feel and turned it to face east to not only mirror the contours of an ‘S’ but to reflect that a huge percentage of Weston’s away league games were geographically in the east of the country."

Bollocks. Someone just drew it that way and they then had to figure out an excuse.

Not a terrible badge - very MLS. If they've got a hashtag on the shirt though, like seagulls, they need shooting.

Half of getting your money on graphic design is coming up with some plausible twaddle to justify what you've done, and to be fair the very best design does actually take all sorts of nonsense into account, so fair play to them. Looks all right too.

Still gets me every time, wasn't there a video someone posted on the forum with a guy watching Mansfield bus station? If anyone could find that video I'd be very grateful never laughed so much!

Did they assume you hadn't sold your soul to Vince and still played in black and white?

To be fair, what colour IS that? It doesn't look very organic. It's like radioactive waste.

“Jon does like a pizza - he always insists on it being hot."

That's the idea, I think. Helps melt the cheese.

What a terrible news story -_- the players can eat whatever they want when not training or playing, it's only up at the club where it's all vegan!

The club only sells vegan food, but that doesn't mean everyone is told to be vegan.

99% of the clubs employees, fans and players are not vegan. So why should they eat vegan food? Last season I ran into the whole squad in Maccy D's after Southport away, and there weren't too many salads about.
