Oi Hartlepool.

Where’s your fucking poppy?

I knew this was going to arrive on here and I will preface the following with they 'usually' despite it not being mentioned donate to some remembrance day charities (I'm not sure which)

I don't land on either side of the poppy/remembrance day carry on that seems to split boomers/millenials every year but what the actual fuck is that shirt? It's like a 10 year olds, remembrance day school collage.

It has all the makings of War Christmas, where you have to be seen doing a #remember rather than owt appreciable. The omission of any (mention of) charity adds to that.

I think most of those who salivate over this stuff are finding the loss of previous generations a blessing and a service to their own interpretations. There’s no spirit of Harry Patch in any of this. Histories have been abandoned. No mentions that war is hell, fascism is hell and imperialism is hell and no intent is present to create a world where we are free of it all. Would imagine this will make some clubs “up their game” on ugly, wanting-to-be-seen Poppypalooza regalia. All you can do is laugh.

I don't really care either way for the shirt but is Raj Singh's Prestige Group registered as a charity? If it wasn't before, it probs is now like.

Sums up the state of the club that there's no link to pre-order on the retail site. All the gear is really low quality anyway. I got a vintage Pools T-shirt, loved the design with all the old club crests but the quality is worse than the 2 quid shirts in Primark.

Hartlepool are alright as a club, but I’m sorry, only expulsion from the league will suffice for that fucking abomination.

The past three seasons they've done a one off kit (maybe more?) they raffled off the match worn shirts and and sent all proceeds to the British Royal Legion so I hope it's simply an oversight that they failed to mention originally.

How I wish for a Glenn Tamplin story right about now..

Being serious for a second, this is sorted now and it will go ahead after rearranging the layout.

Can't get over how inept and petty North Wales Police are though, they can't even access the land without breaking their own lockdown, it can only be accessed through England. They'd genuinely have to park up 3 miles away in Saltney Ferry, cross the River Dee over the footbridge, up one track Ferry Lane and then through fields jumping hedges to stay in Wales! All for people walking a few yards to use the toilet...

They'd be allowed to travel through England though wouldn't they? As they'd be travelling over the border for work. Tbh I have no idea what the rules say about that sort of things now.

I agree though it was very petty, glad its sorted for the sake of Storyhouse.

Yeah, they'd be allowed but it just shows how ridiculous their stance was considering they can't even reach it without leaving the country.

Stelling has had a dig at the club on Twitter over it.

They'll let them in....at a price. Scumbags have been charging opposition commentators for years, or at least trying to.

One of our directors, his wife won the start prise of a car in one of our many deaerate attempts to raise money (FC not AFE)

In the late 80s our Chairman's wife won a full kit in a raffle and donated it to the club. AFAIK our first team wore it once, lost and never wore it again. It was salmon and blue and totally rank.

It's become a common theme everytime we have Marsden. We speak more about him than the actual game itself. Always the sign of a bad ref

Getting a weekly PM from Tractor Boys for a free bet that I have zero interest in to then get the shit attitude of "PMs can't be switched off so live with it" from him.

These offers are mostly con jobs anyway. Recently joined a betting site as they offered new accounts odds of 30-1 for us to beat Torquay, I thought yep I'll have a bit of that. It took them 3 days to verify my identity and of course the match had finished 2 years ago by then and we got beat 5-0.

BBC Radio Lincs summariser Steve Thompson seemed to disappear for our game at Swindon on Tuesday and it now transpires that he's been suspended by the BBC until the New Year because a listener complained he used the word "handbags" when describing a coming together of players in our previous match at Accrington.

World's gone mad.
