Why are all Dover players and management all isolating after 2 cases?

This is the rule:

If a player tests positive on a team there is not a need for the
other players to self-isolate (or a game to be postponed),
unless they were in close contact, have been contacted by
Test and Trace, they have developed symptoms or tested
positive themselves.

From Monday, you don't have to self isolate if you come into contact and you have been double vaccinated anyway.

The league(s) need to be more clear on what the rules are going to be this season. 2 positive cases should not be calling a match off.
perhaps they're just covering their backs & waiting for Monday's changes? They don't have a game this weekend anyway

We’ve got 4 or 5 cases at the moment, the rest of the squad are still training. Sarll was at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday so obviously not required to isolate.

Donkey Derby always good for a pre game pint and even a bite to eat no matter who you support. Plenty of friendly Spireites in there if I do say so myself (bet you can’t guess where I drink pre game!??)

I expect it will be very busy though with that being our first home game of the season so I’d advise getting down nice and early if you do plan to head there. The pub also has a free car park so that’s another plus point..
I prefer Glassworks or Beer Parlour round the ground - better pint and in an actual glass!
Usually start up town though in Barley Mow or something and work my way down!

Would love that to be true but 5 extra years hasn’t made Hurst any less cautious. Think we’ll be battling for the final couple PO places myself, unless we pull off a couple of big signings.
Big year for Hurst, Ipswich went badly and he couldn't keep you up last year. Not saying relegation was his fault but he could do with a good start to the season.

There should be a rule on how many positive tests before you’re allowed to call off a game.

Knowing the National League there won’t be.

This nonsense stops from Monday if your double vaccinated, if any players are not it’s tough they sit it out own fault.

Does it John? Is that how it is. Worried our season will be written off with us flying again

Our game is off. Yeovil have Covid cases apparently. How many times are teams going to say they’ve got Covid when they don’t want to play?

Aldershot don’t have a squad either do they? Could see a few coughs and fevers developing down there in the next week or so.

They’ve played one of their Covid cards incredibly early. Teams apparently get 3 cards throughout the season to use when they want.

Absolutely nothing to do with them only having about 13 fit players, stop saying it is.

Yeah that’s what should happen but what have the NL put in place to stop teams with a few Covid cases and a few injuries from crying off.

I don’t think you can fake having covid? Surely the league would want proof? Maybe we’ve done it because Wrexham have refused to sell us any tickets yet.

not strictly true

if you get pinged you dont have to isolate if you are double jabbed however you do need to get tested ASAP. then if you test positive you still have to isolate

Or because you've got barely anyone in your squad.

Yeovil were the originators of the 'covid clause' how many times did they pull it last season, they had more postponements than Barnet and their potato field, must be open mouth kissing each other in training.

our game v Solihull has now been rearranged to this weekend to replace our fixture with Yeovil as Dover dropped out of their fixture too

GAME ON

Looks a much harder start to the season. Good test for us.

You’d hope the league would want proof.

However if you’re (or any other team) unprepared for the season with a ridiculously small squad and get a handful of Covid cases then that’s your fault. You shouldn’t be bailed out.

I can see lots of teams faking injuries on top of a few Covid cases to get games called off.

Solihull going to allow 100 Wrexham fans in and there's going to be thousands going down. Complete and utter carnage.

Good that will teach these idiots at local authorities who are needlessly putting caps on away support.

What’s the difference between Covid numbers in your neck of the woods and Solihull?

Solihull, Southend, Grimsby, Eastleigh and Stockport are our first 5 away games. Been fixture'd out of it already.

100 more than they’re letting in for our friendly this weekend, it’s bizarre.

You’re also playing us away at the start of October - and we ALWAYS seem to beat you at our place.
It always finishes 2-0 to you and Richard Brodie always ends up on the scoresheet.

We also always take over the Crimea.

Why can’t Wrexham buy a bigger away end at Solihull Motors having purchased a new opening fixture?

Solihull have an average attendance of less than 1500 dont they? Damson Park holds 5500, so there should be plenty of room.

Its almost like they don't want people there.
