That VW wants pulling forward into the space a bit more. The Ford could stand another foot too. HTH

Agreed, car park could do with a generous blasting of Weedol and all that dead moss is gonna turn to thatch in no time, thorough sweeping recommended.

It's just a bit of care and attention, that's all. I blame the parents.

The comments are pretty funny. We don't seem particularly well liked by fans of other clubs.

Rumours are 13 members of our squad have covid, which if true probably means next week will be off too

I have questions about Paul Hurst’s training methods.

Nice ploy this from Paul Hurst to have our players ultra fresh for when we face Stockport so we can punish them for WHAT THEY DID.

But it's so boring when our money has been procured through legitimate methods

I preferred it when we all thought we had Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos angel investing

"hopefully they will start to pay out on a monthly basis in the near future"

So it has been funded on hope, we can all rest easy now.

The claim has been (begrudgingly) accepted by the insurer, so we will receive a pay out (or monthly pay outs, seemingly). There appears to be some wrangling over the precise figure which is typical of an insurance claim as our Loss Assessor tries to gazump their Loss Adjuster. However we presumably have a ballpark figure or perhaps an amount already agreed to with future amounts subject to negotiation. I wouldn't place too much emphasis on the the usage of the word 'hopefully' which is a quote from John Croot on a podcast rather than an official interview where words are more carefully chosen either. We're clearly very confident that we'll be sound financially and I wouldn't expect the Trust to put us in potential financial harm given they took over from Allen and Carson although I know that kind of halts the fun narrative other clubs have going for us...

so what in essence the Chesterfield financial officer has said is that they have taken all the Government funds and tax breaks, and Furlough to the maximum. but also are claiming on insurance so they have in fact benefitted substantially from Covid.

Yup, thats cleared it up, but if anything only confirmed the whole Furloughgate last year is even worse than before as you had insurance anyway....

But still it's been funded on money you don't currently have, whether hopefully or not.

Again this isn’t Chesterfield’s fault, but… how was one of the terms of getting that £1m government loan not ‘you don’t have an insurance policy in place that covers those losses anyway’!?!

I think just a combination of using the very generous loans on offer and seemingly a bit of luck on an insurance policy makes sense, to be honest. It’s no more of an issue than Wrexham and Stockport funding things by happening to have really rich owners.

Obviously we’re the good guys and the neutral’s choice after all this, though. ;)

We're unorthodox but by God we get results (hopefully).

Stockport County.
The insurance policy sounds smart to be honest. I remember reading last year Wimbledon (Tennis not AFC) had "Pandemic insurance" written in for years and therefore were basically paid out for not be able to stage the tournament in 2020.

No wonder that James Rowe looks such a smug little fucker all the time.
