Nice to return back to the National League with a 2-0 win. Certainly wasn't expecting it after the pre season and influx of around 16 new players.

Somehow everything seemed to click and Askey appears to have drilled formation and tactics into the players all week in training which is nice to see as too many times in the past after a game you question what the hell the team have been doing all week in training.

Unsure if it was because Woking had an off day but expected a bit more from them.

Not getting too carried away as there are some tougher teams to play but hopefully it's a sign of things to come. Still reckon we will finish midtable 10th-14th.
Didn’t see that performance coming after pre season results but 100% believe we have right manager to move us forward.
Thought 2-0 flattered Woking and a very strong performance.

Did you need a new one? I'm assuming it's going to house office, academy etc or something?

Probably for a similar reason to our delayed stand re-build - building costs have gone through the roof and there's a backlog of work.
More likely the chairman wanted everyone paying for seating so removed the terrace on the false premise that a new stand was going to be built.

Askey when he was with us did always make it plain that how we looked or the results in pre-season were irrelevant to him and it was all about building fitness for the first proper game. Think we lost to a few equivalents of the Dog & Duck but we were ready to go when it mattered. I fully expect York will have a good season and I’m still saying he’ll get you challenging for the playoffs.

Nice to win a game but there’s a complete over reaction over it. We won a game and just over 3000 turned up. Will they come back… who knows

Looks a great crowd at Boundary Park. Can just see how the takeover has given them a new lease of life as a club.
Seemed a real celebration and looking forward to good times ahead. as opposed to the sham we put in place for the BT Sport cameras the week before.

Chris Porter scored, surprised he didn't fall to the floor afterwards...

Woking away tonight.
Will the club's Premier Supporters group* pack the Kingfield for a game an hour away for most of them?
Will we score a goal?
Will Hilly do a post match interview detached from Reality?
Questions..

Good game last night and enjoying ball actually been played on ground unlike in North.
Thought Solihull would of been better more than matched them.

We’ve got Solihull at home tommorow.

Expecting a defeat but hey this is more important.

So we race into a 3-0 lead and me and Bottega Don on the other board can see what’s coming.

Bet you’re glad you paid for a season ticket, all 1500 of you fools.

Taking pleasure in seeing Pete Wild's old club struggling after their fans gloating that his assistant (who stayed behind) was the real brains of the operation. They also said the right back we pinched from them was shit - one of the best signings of the summer.

Stockport County.
Just watched the first two episodes of the Wrexham documentary. The two lads seem sound, they're in it to win it and although they will do some cringy things because they're North American- it's in their blood. I can't see them fucking up Wrexham- they're too high profile. They're reputations would be in tatters.

Great performance from Bobby Davro aswell who played beleaguered boss Dean Keates

No surprise about Hill. He seems to have lost his way completely and the fault always lies with someone else. While the Scunny job at present is a poison chalice, Keith was never going to be capable of making things competitive..

And now you’ve got Micky Nelson as assistant manager.
Good luck with that,he’s absolutely useless.
We had him a few years ago, wasn't up to much.

Seems like Aaron Bennett is doing well for Altrincham, definitely got ability, think he needs to get his stamina and overall fitness up to scratch though before trying a higher level. He was offered to Barrow but they thought it was too soon, wouldn't be shocked if he went there in January if he impresses.

This sounds really bad.

Hope the player injured recovers soon.

Sure there are a lot of allegations flying around as to what happened.

Sounds like it was a Chesterfield player, or to be more exact, Chesterfield have “confirmed the allegation against an un-named player”.

If the York home game is called off that might cause a few problems - i'd think you would bring at least 1000 Minstermen central Haxbyreds Yorkidding YorkieLiam? and they would have budgeted for that.

Ideally as many Yorkies not turning up would be ideal, but that isn't going to happen.

Sold 3 blocks out so would expect 1000 even at them prices.
Hopefully things will change for you and get a new owner soon,
