That was annoying, brilliant for 20 minutes, pretty rubbish for the remaining 70. Still should have held on though.

Don’t get me wrong, you deserved the win. But we gifted you all 4 goals. Should have been about 6-4 to you in all honesty. Both missed some sitters

Good exciting game to watch. We were poor first half, edged it second and if it went to extra time I'd have backed us for the win. Turning point was Pools missing a chance for the third and we went straight up the pitch to get a goal which changed the dynamics.
Looked like hand ball and a penalty to me and a dodgy tackle straight after which in the middle of the park is a free kick all day.
Still, we've ended the day one point closer to the top which didn't look at all likely on the half hour.

I now officially go to The Shay expecting to lose. My new mindset has a comforting familiarity about it. :ds:

Title challenge well and truly back on!

8 points off the top with this squad. Yes, I think it’s fair to say the general standard this season is possibly the worst it’s ever been.

We haven't played well in any game this season but we're a point off top with a game in hand. How shit are the rest of you?

Tshimanga getting some payback today for being on loan to us for 6 months and not playing a single minute. Didn't need to act like such a cock after scoring though

Everyone is shite, the entire league is wank this season, top to bottom, 9 points separates 1st and 14th and we're almost half way through it.

Sutton were a better side than their position suggests IMO, just lacked firepower up front as a previous poster says.

If they can get a couple of reinforcements in they should have enough to pull clear. Particularly liked the look of their number 28 - Reid?

We were walking wounded and absolutely knackered for the last 10 minutes. This two weeks we've got ourselves now we are out of the cup probably came at the right time, every cloud and all that.

Why do people always associate a close league with a shit league?

I’m not saying this league isn’t a shit league btw I’m just saying if someone were 10 points clear, it wouldn’t necessarily make it any better.

Don't bring logic into this. One stand out team pissing the league should always make the league seem better than it actually is :ohn:

If you stop conceding 3+ a game as of late do you think you can stay top 4 till the end of the season?
I absolutely do, We lost the man we call The Rock, centre half and captain Matty Brown, in the Yeovil game, 10 games ago.
First 10 games: W7 D1 L2 F19 A10 with The Rock
Next 10 games: W4 D1 5 F10 A15 without The Rock

He's due back soon.........

It wouldn't make the league any better no, but it would show that there is a clear distinction between the top and the bottom, Bromley, league leaders lost yesterday to a team who had 3 wins in 19, Halifax have been whopped three times in the last five games, still sit third, Woking have 1 win 10 and are five points off 1st.

Yikes! Sounds a very influential player but relying on just one player so much is risky and not usually a recipe for success.

You played fucking well against us, best performance from any team I’ve seen in the last three years down here

I really enjoy “the standard of this league is the worst it’s ever been” posts that crop up every single season without fail.

Has Alan Alger tweeted it yet?

He'll still be predicting that we'll be going down this season like he does every year.

Teams full of good players languishing down the bottom half - must mean the standard is really high this season.
