Any Maidenhead fans on here able to tell us if your reserve keeper is any good? To be honest the guy who got sent off on Tuesday didn’t look great in the highlights so will having someone else between the sticks be that bad?
There's a guy called Rhys Lovett
Seems OK but not very big. Easy to bully.
Came off the bench as a striker last season and scored against Boring Wood.

Yeah, I remember him colliding with a post and then playing on for a bit with a very obvious concussion in our win at your place last season.

We could do with waking up from the start tomorrow. Scored shitloads but nowt in the first half an hour and gone behind in all three home games so far. Definitely get the sense we need to be provoked into actually playing properly, which you can only get away with so long.

I agree it is our first real opportunity to show how good we are (or aren't). I think he will play it safe and bring Carline in at RWB, but would like to see Miller keep his place at LWB - Whittle is solid but in my eyes he is a proper LB (would be suited playing in a back 4) and he doesn't ever take a man on. Let's hope we go for it.
We've got to go for it I think l haven't we. It's Yeovil Town, we're not away at the Bernabeu

Apparently this shows current capacity?

To be fair if we look up a division they aren't much better!
Brings it home, the tinpotness that. Our capacity is wrong though. About 300 too high. Was thinking Blundell Park would be the oldest and along came the Racecourse at 1807 - what was going on in 1807 horse racing I assume…

In 1807 we were in our 10th season in the National League, still confident that this year was our year.

I've got a feeling we'll win today.

It's the hope that kills you.

I prefer these types of grounds instead of newer out of town IKEA flat packs like Chesterfield have.

Some of them definitely, and there are some good examples of charming little historic grounds in this league. But there are also some awful collections of old sheds and bus shelters.

Give me Meadow Lane over Damson Park any day of the week.

We got the best of both worlds, still in the original position, not on an industrial park, pubs, bus routes, communities, parking close by, the stands have a uniformity but bits of individualism built in which stops it looking too identikit. It holds the sound in better than the old ground too and when it's going well and the Kop is full it's pretty much my favourite place on earth.

Thet we can agree on Solihull is not only a pony ground it’s also 3 miles from the town.

Since nobody else has patronised you, I'll weigh in and say: No idea

The general mood was extremely low after the Yeovil defeat, but then we put in a good performance in the win at Maidenhead on Tuesday and we do tend to do better away from home... I'd guess at anywhere between 700-1,200. Skircoat is the wanky all-seated one, yes? The one that used to belong to city? Shame, it was much better in that terrace last time (well, the game was awful, but still)
Believe it or not there's an element among our own fans who WANT the home support moved back into that stand. The big babies got kicked out of their comfort zone, y'see. :ffs::dk:

Yeovil for us today then, refuse to revisit that place after the last time I went there (Game that confirmed relegation 11/12 season) but still think we’ll take a fair few considering the distance. If I had to guess I’d go for 300-400 spireites…

Regards the team, personally I’d stay unchanged from the Barnet game. I think that midfield 3 of Khan, Oyeleke and Weston has perfect balance of pace, power, creativity and defensive awareness so wouldn’t break that up. I also think King deserves to keep his place at RWB as he was my MOTM against Barnet so don’t think Carline will come back in. Miller has been far too good to even consider rotating/dropping on the other side IMO, and Whittle offers nowhere near as much going forward so I’d definitely stick with Calvin.

Going for a 2-0 away win today, Tshimanga and Payne to get the goals

So many fans want to witness the small town club that beat the mighty Hollywood Reds that we have had to open part of the away end to home fans

Looks like a case of none of them want egg on their faces, but they'll all pile in here at 5 to 5 if they win, to play Billy Big Bollocks, and make out like they knew all along that they were gonna to win. Pretty pathetic to be honest, at least I've got a pair balls to put on the line and risk having them kicked around later. :fl: :fl: :fl:

Good a feeling we’re gonna have a wobble against Eastleigh today, not sure why as we’re playing good and confidence is sky high but you know before some games you just get that feeling, well, I’ve got that feeling.
Looking forward to being wrong though and picking up another 3 points come 5PM.
