Refreshing to listen to an honest assessment of a game from an opposition manager for once, credit to Ardley for that. Basically said the two goals we scored had nothing to do with being down to 10 men and was down to the quality of the attacking/ poor defending on the basics instead.

He seems quite confident for Tuesdays game against Grimsby mind!?

Doesn't mention Tuesday at all on that, does he? Is there a longer video?

Handing Bromley 3 points there. They need no encouragement for a comeback that lot. Must have done that to rescue points over five times already this season.
Honestly, Andy Woodman is like a bald, overweight Scarlett Pimpernel!

Yeah that trait they seem to have is becoming an increasing worry tbf... Horrible shithouse side that you can see lasting the distance. I personally can see them mounting a stronger challenge than Boreham Wood in the long run who I’m convinced are going to drop off the pace soon. They’ve got Will Evans at the heart of their defence ffs!!

If you click on the actual video link it takes you to the full interview! Only briefly mentions Tuesday but seemed more confident about that one than whoever they’re playing next Saturday?

Probably because he watched us last night.

Title Chesterfields to lose, winning games with twenty players out injured and got the best striker in the league, plus the finances to improve in Jan. No excuse for them not to win the title this season with their only competition in Stockport and Wrexham being so poor, Stockport made the managerial change but given you too big a head start.

Grimsby not far behind at all, this race has only really just started!

We don't have the strength in depth as proven the last few weeks and missing a striker that will score goals and win tight games for us.

I'll be shocked if we get a result at your place.
Well let's just assume for a second you'll score because Hyde is bound to. Do you think you'll stop us scoring twice?

Stones were good value for a point at Wrexham today, had a lot of the ball in the midfield and there was a 10-15 minute spell in the second half where we probably should have scored.

Wrexham didn’t look particularly great but still had their moments including a header in the first half which I thought for sure was going in, somehow George Wickens kept it out. Jake Hyde’s chance in the second half should never have been allowed, he was at least 2 yards offside as the cross came in but that linesman wasn’t fit for purpose.

They lost to us so have been confirmed clinically dead for some time.

To be fair playing Eastleigh at their place, where they haven’t lost since August, sounds a different prospect to playing them at home.

Still a disappointing result though. I haven’t seen the goals, but Slocombe sounds bad for the second. We need Patterson back asap. Without him we are like Grimsby without McAtee, or like Chesterfield will be if ‘kabongoals’ gets injured.

And in response to some of the above, Bromley are winning this thing 110%. The brothers who were splashing the cash in the summer, this is on you - madness no-one signed Cheek. Willing to spend six figures on the likes of Quigley, Kabongoat, and Tozer, but not £50k for Cheek plus £300 on driving lessons? Bromley’s title success will forever be your shame.

Stockport/Chessie playoff final. Can’t pick a winner from that, but it should be a hell of a gate!

Did your keeper have a blinder or is he always that good? someone really impressive saves.

We weren't good but had the chances to win it. Wealdstone came with a game plan and executed it. They never looked like scoring but otherwise looked comfortable and looked a decent team so a draw was probably fair. Decent numbers of away fans travelling too.

Like Notts County I can't remember any Wrexham fan claiming that WE ARE BACK after beating Aldershot and King Lynn- not without their tongue in their cheek. So im not sure where all this hubris is coming from. It'll be funny if Chesterfield fuck it up from here. It is only November after all.

So it's fine for your fans to say things tongue in cheek... but when chesterfield fans say something to wind you up you get sand in your vagina?

Love how that despite being top of the league, your top priority is to wind Wrexham fans up.

Draw seemed a fair enough result in a game between 2 crap teams.

I thought Mullin was square with Hyde when the ball came in for that chance.

Super Georgie Wickens has grown over the weeks, looked a tad nervy early on and would have been disappointed to have let the first goal in any Chesterfield away. Pulled a similar save as the one in the first half at home to Grimsby but used his face rather than hand.
He has a great future in the game, hopefully a full season with us then somewhere further up the division.

Was a great atmosphere and good that we competed, but that is what we are set up to do. It’s not a park the bus policy but we don’t roll over and let teams play, other than at Torquay. Our final ball was poor when we did get opportunities and the offside goal was very tight, but right decisio.

Not sure what to make of Wrexham, is it the pressure of playing in front of an expectant crowd, the thought that they should win against inferior opposition or players expecting others to just do it for them. Something needs to change as yesterday was obviously not a one off.

Can’t lose as many games as we have now and expect anything but a mid table finish, unless we get in a decent central defender we’re not capable of a top 7 finish. So light on numbers at the back with only two centre backs available for Tuesday in a back three system.

Yet again our club rushed in a chucked a contract at McMahon after a good ‘few’ months, think they may come to regret that decision when a hefty pay off is required later in the season. He had been here two seasons and not corrected the blindly obvious of our crap defence, he’s actually made it worse. Come end of season he would have had 2 and a half years to get us up in the play offs and will have failed, when it really is not that difficult with the budget he has had.

If we don’t beat Eastleigh at home Tuesday the season is pretty much done with Stockport and Wrexham coming up the league quickly will finish in the play offs and it’s hard to see others dropping out.

You seem reasonable usually so surely you can tell that absolutely non of us think or have said we have this in the bag?

We're just enjoying the fact our club is no longer a fucking laughing stock after 5 or so years. What's the point of being a football fan if you can't enjoy the good times? If a few folk are getting wound up by that then meh....seems like a them problem.

most of you are absolutely fine and of course enjoy the good times but you've got a couple of absolutely abrasive tools who just seem to be trying to wind other people up (and weren't posting on here when you weren't doing well). Its just a bit much constantly- I'd post on a Facebook 'Banter' page if I wanted to be subjected to that all the time.

Luckily there is an ignore function for the worst of them.
