We were very poor all over the pitch. Terrible touch, passing and movements. Awful from us and Alty deserved the win.
True but the conditions were difficult. Funny though, this keep happening, we dont let teams play and maybe they cant deal with 4 wingers :dk:

Cant believe what I'm watching not one forward on the pitch. Playing one up front who is a midfielder. Waters and street have to come on now.
Johnson out! The following conversation now raging on Torquay forum, it's the same on every Brotherhood forum after such a catastrophe:

"He's been found out"
"He's lost the dressing room"
"He's lost the plot"
"Been coming for weeks, I warned you"
"He doesn't have a Plan B"
"Shambolic"
"Clueless"
"Wrong starting eleven"
"Wrong formation"
"Wrong bench"
"Poor squad"
"Been punching above our weight"
"Get some signings made"
"Johnson out"

:dk:

Glad we could help. His post match interview was pretty miserable, and he's given his players 3 days off !
Alright for some most ours had to be back in work today :fl:

Sadly this is pretty spot on! Seems some people have been waiting all season to get their fix of slagging off the players/manager. :dis:

Its a dangerous precedent. His foot isn't even above waist height.

If that had happened in midfield it’d be a foul, probably a yellow, and no one would bat an eyelid.

The attacker dips his head towards the ball, should the defender have just let it go in? There was zero contact, the ball was cleared before the attacker got anywhere near it, dont be fooled by the fact he flung himself on the ground.

Youd have a dozen penalties every game if that is legitimate.

He dips his head towards the ball a bit, but it’s still at a perfectly reasonable height to be nodding it into the net. It’s a foul every time, at any level, anywhere in the world. Whether you think it should be is another matter, but the laws as they stand mean that the only debate there is whether it’s also a straight red. Probably should be, to be honest.

He’s also offside I think.

Its actually not. The rule that applies here is Law 12:

Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.

Given that the attacking player was able to fling himself at the ball (and not get anywhere near it) would suggest that the defenders actions did not prevent him from attempting to play the ball for fear of injury.

Ultimately its at the referees discretion and he felt it was a penalty. Its arguable though. You wouldn't be happy if it was a decision that went against you.

Straight red and 3 game ban for me, that. MINIMUM.

Let's be real here, when have you ever seen a penalty given for something like that. He never even touched him.

It's correct to say in the middle of the pitch it would be given nearly every time (wrongly, mind), because there's no consequences there and it's an easy one to give and nobody is really arsed. If you're giving these things you'll have players launching themselves like a Worm kamikaze style into penalty area boots. Flowers will be ordering a cannon to fire his flankers out from.

Maybe it's just that I've got this Yussuf thing on my mind constantly, I'm not thinking clearly.

Its difficult to think about anything else. I'm covered in salt, mostly from the tears running down my cheek. OneDecentLester running through my mind constantly. His laughter ringing in my ears.

How could they take Yussuf from us?

If that's endangering another player then the game's gone. It was the Eastleigh player who stuck his head in a place where he might get a boot to the face.

I don't think it's penalty either, if the defender on the line doesn't attempt to kick it he's gonna get pelters from all angles about why he didn't.

Missed that one in the laws of the game.

Ref must play on as the the defender will get pelters from his team mates. Thought VAR was crazy but that is something else.

???

The comment that it wasn't a penalty (imo) and the player getting grief aren't connected.

It was just a bizarre line up. He obviously wanted to try it out but clearly didn't work and he wont do It again. Interested to see what happens this weekend in the trophy.
However we have southport and they have this new strain there so could be moved to another ground
