Disappointing draw for us, but sometimes it’s right to give praise to the opposition rather than hammering your own team, and I thought Weymouth were really good. Probably the best team we’ve played so far on the day, they look much better than they did last year.

We still created the better chances and will feel we should’ve won, mind. Puts the pressure on to win these two home games coming up, but if we do that’s not a terrible point at all.

HT 1-0 to us and thoroughly deserved, bags of energy thoughout the team and good interplay. Stockport's passing has been shocking but that's due in no small measure to our intense pressing. Capped off by a great goal by Charlie.
The perfect tactics against us.

An incredible 462 Grimsby fans at Torquay today
That is incredible, a horror trek from Grimsby.

Bloody awful match at the Rec, 2 poor teams hoofing the ball skywards, only occasionally showing any actual football skills. Typical away performance from Moors ,absorb and hit on the break. Shots fragile and puny, would have lost by a hatful to a more potent attack.
Predicted a win today, should have known better; no idea where a win will come from, now, next few fixtures a nightmare.

If you let us score 2 set pieces you must be terrible. We are generally awful at them. Especially when one of the players scoring a header is knee high to a grasshopper.

It was one of our good days. Another Yeovil performance is often round the corner with us
:ffs: :ffs: :ffs: I can't even.

Dagenham at 21/20 rounds off a great wkd. Started really well Dagenham, I know they’ve been throwing coin about on the sly for years. Maybe now they’ve built a side ready to be near the top

After the fixture change fiasco followed by the non existent ‘push of Edgeley Park’ it’s good to see other clubs punishing Stockport for WHAT THEY DID!!! (x2)

Oh and Chasetown was 2-1.

You’re just embarrassing yourself with your bitterness towards your much bigger neighbours, for the sake of your mental health I’d just stop posting rubbish if I were you.

9 minutes injury time at Torquay what the fuck?
That was a hammer blow, we got battered a bit in the last 20mins or so but it wasn't as ridiculous as it sounds that 9 minutes. I was expecting 5-7 minutes, they had a few injuries. Would have felt a hell of a lot longer had that 3rd not gone in.

We were full value for the win despite that. Torquay didn't carve out too many clear cut chances despite an onslaught of late pressure. Whereas we looked dangerous all the way throught the first half.

Sousa and Efete look like a top quality right hand side for this level. Waterfall had another great game too, Torquay's main tactic seemed to be to launch the ball in and Waterfall lapped it up. Hope Danny Wright found his way out of his pocket before we got back on the coach back to GY. Towler looks calm and assured too. Proper Hursty pick that lad. No qualms about Hunt not being tough enough either, his timing alone in all he does means he can tackle players much burlier than him with relative ease and if he doesn't Coke smashes them. Looking forward to seeing Taylor's assist for the the third too as he burst forward and played a great through ball for Clifton. Fucking love a Clifton goal.

A negative would be the left hand side for sure. The jury remains out on Crookes, however he did make a couple of great headers and blocks in the box at nervy moments. We also invited way too much pressure in the second half when we seemed to have them on the ropes any time we applied attacking pressure.

The most pleasing aspects though we're probably the digging deep and the players reaction at full time. McAtee, Clifton and Coke all absolutely buzzing. McAtee is a gem, even if he's not in the game he's working his arse off and getting the fans up for it when the ball goes out.
Disappointing draw for us, but sometimes it’s right to give praise to the opposition rather than hammering your own team, and I thought Weymouth were really good. Probably the best team we’ve played so far on the day, they look much better than they did last year.

Only going off the highlights, but they made it difficult for us at home. I could see them being an acca buster this season. Think they'll make the good teams work for any points and beat those around them. Dark horses, perhaps?

LOL what is your criteria for pulling that list together? You've got some dross and some class. Burnett, in particular, would go straight in as the best player of all time ever for Scunny had he had to stoop as low as pulling on your shirt. Handyside and Donovan both absolute bangers too, not even up for debate.
