Sorry to clarify he came from managing (assistant) at an Israeli club, he joined us a few weeks after they had played Spurs in the champions league (Maccabi Haifa)
Ah yeah apologies, I forgot he'd had a jolly overseas. Was at somewhere in India too, I believe. Quite an eclectic CV he's got!

Absolute shambles from Darlo tonight, pathetic all over the park by all accounts.

90+8 winner for us against Gloucester, didn't really deserve it after an awful second half but ah well.

Amusing that Gloucester tried to be funny on twitter and take the piss out of us yesterday only for that to happen. Rarely ends well.

I wouldn't care that was the second game of three including Guiseley on Saturday where we really should have had at least a win under our belt. It's not looking good, fuck knows what he says at half-time?

Really good point against Chorley considering we went down to 10 men. Nearly got all 3 with basically the last kick of the game.

Bajrami getting 2 bookings for 2 fouls as well. The first should've been a definite a yellow as he stopped a counter but it came only 1 minute after Chorley's left back went through the back of Hemmings about 2 seconds after a he passed the ball and the ref deemed that only a talking to. The second yellow was easily a warning. Halfway line foul but he nothing malicious and no threat of an immediate attack.

But great team spirit to take the leadand a great finish from Hemmings, sadly couldn't hold on but Chorley scored a very good team goal to equalise.

The social media stuff is indicative of the club right now, an utter joke, tone deaf and most fans are absolutely sick of it all. Rather than thank the 30-40 or so that travelled up there, the first tweet literally minutes after the final whistle was advertising the Brackley game. And they still didn't thank any fans. Sod off

Managerial movement in the NLN then
Adam Lakeland has left Farsley Celtic to take the managerial reigns at Curzon.
AFC Telford have gone back to the drawing board after Paul Cox decided to stay at Kettering. Dennis Greene to continue.

I sortve want to ask if Farsley have a mass of financial issues this year because they have lost a lot this season.

but unsure if this one down to much financially. He was at Curzon before as a coach during their big ride up the leagues and knows the club and area so may just be heading back to area he knows.

for Curzon on paper a good appointment, he knows club, knows area, and been successful……not much more you can hope in an appointment.

Brackley 1 -0 Gloucester. Pretty grim game, which Brackley edged. Gloucester looked limited, Brackley only a little bit better. I don't normally comment on refereeing, but it was a shambles today. At one point he signaled for a Brackley goal from a corner... only subsequently to rule it out when he saw the Gloucester GK on the ground. It was very hard to see any sort of foul. Later he gave a goal for Gloucester, only then to seemingly rule it out because of the level of Brackley protests. It was clearly handball, (for which the 'scorer' was sent off for a second yellow), but he gave the goal first, and it took a minute or two of protests to change his mind. All very bizarre.

Southport 3-2 Chester.

We were 3-1 up at half time, but should have been out of sight with the chances we had. Good advantage from the ref for our first after Hmami was badly fouled, but Bainbridge slotted in the corner straight away. Chester equalised through a penalty, which did look a pretty blatant handball even from the other end of the pitch. A header from a deflected cross by Archer for our second, then Chester's defence went walkabout when Carver slotted in the third.

Chester got one back at the start of the second half through a scrambled goal that we should have defended better, after that the match was a bit of a non-event. Hmami was booked for diving (apparently), then went down again a few minutes later and the ref bottled the decision - it was either a second yellow for diving or a penalty, there was no in-between but the ref gave a goal kick. We saw the game out relatively comfortably without really threatening ourselves.

Nice for us to get back-to-back wins, we're nothing special but being bottom of the league was probably a false position for us. It will be interesting to see how long Dumb & Dumber keep their jobs at Chester though, that's probably the worst Chester side I've seen since they reformed.

Self isolating at home.
However Alfreton recorded a resounding 5-1 over a extremely poor Bradford side. Just a 2 win over BPA in 11 league meetings.

Sterner tests of our credentials now upcoming at Spennymoor and Gateshead

Another very ugly 3 points for Chorley, very poor for first 35 minutes then seemed to liven up a bit, second half was fairly end to end but of poor quality, we finally managed to get the 3 points from a goal by substitute Millenic Alli. We are at least 3 players short of a top team, Farsley quite physical, built up quite well but limited in the final third.
On to Tuesday should be an interesting test at an in form Southport.

Very comfortable 4-0 win over Spennymoor, they were truly awful. Taylor and Ramshaw didn't get a sniff all game.

Penn got it spot on as well, he dropped Freemantle for Morgan-Smith and the 3 Spenny defenders couldn't handle him he won so many battles and got the ball down for our 3 attacking mids

Onto the cup now just hope its done on the Saturday don't fancy a replay.

Based on today you've got nothing to worry about with Spenny

Unfortunately couldn't make today's home game against Guiseley, bit of a bummer missing out on our much needed home win against a depleted Guiseley outfit. Hopefully this result gives the lads a bit of confidence in the coming weeks.

We’re a banter club, last week York fans were telling us that we’re the best side they’ve faced in ages. At the very least it felt like today struck a chord with Jonno in his post match interview.

It's a decent point away from home against a Southport side who were on the verge of getting a third consecutive win tonight.

Only one relegation now.

be interesting to see who. Expected from most was Curzon but they have probably shown it’s very doubtful with just one place.

southports been the constant decline side for years who seem a very good bet.

Southport are a strong physical side and will bully themselves into mid table which is what you need in non league, not the tipi tapi play it out from the back football we play.

Agree on Southport they are just what you need to survive in this league.

Think Blyth and BPA are better candidates for potential relegation maybe even add Gloucester to that list if they don't get their defence sorted out and Hereford if they don't start scoring.

Since we brought in Terry McPhillips as assistant manager we've improved a lot. We weren't far away from being competitive before this, and had a very tough start to the season. We now seem capable of playing decent football as well as having Watson Hoofball as plan B. We've got a small but close-knit squad, probably lack a bit of experience, but have got a lot of energy. It we avoid injuries and Doug Tharme's arms don't fall off we should be fine.
