For Curzon I class this the make or break games if Curzon want to do anything more than bottom half battlers this year.

start has been strong, should have beat Guisley, hammered Chester, got back level away at Boston with 10 men to lose in injury time, then beat Darlo holding with 10 men last 30 mins……very good start for us.

now have 3 away games in next four, but 3 of them teams would be deemed similar to ourselves in leamington, BPA and Farsley (Gloucester the exception)

we want to be top half need to dig results from these games, the ones we won’t ‘raise game’ for.
That wasn’t Chester you thrashed, you will see the real Chester in a week or two once we get everyone fit.

As predicted Monday was a disaster, it's beyond Covid, our entire first choice midfield was out with other injuries on top of that. Still surprised Gateshead didn't put us under more pressure last week.

Hopefully a bit better tomorrow but still not there yet, Alfreton are always a tough opponent from our experience.

We have just signed Jacob Blyth from Oldham and Andy Owens has left to expand his business

Oh dear. Another side taken in by the fact that he looks reasonably strong and athletic. He was lazy and pretty useless for us 3 or 4 years ago, and has barely played a game since. I'd imagine this will be his last gig in football.

Exactly, that is my fear, oh well we will soon see if he is up for the challenge.

Tollitts red card last week against Southport has thankfully been overturned and is available today. Superb player. Nearly cost us points that decision. Sent off in the first half. Some of the refs at this level and the national league are atrocious

Drew 1 all with Kettering. Seemed like they were the better team (going off our Twitter) so glad to come away with a point. Great start to the season

Still unbeaten. And keeping a clean sheet while down to 10 for 40 minutes is always a positive.

Chorley v Gloucester though :bl:

Ok this Curzon team has a genuine play off chance.

the killers for us are injuries and that teams poach players but with some luck we have a chance the attack abilities are very strong.

9-0 !!!

Yes Gloucester went down to ten men but we thoroughly bossed them today before they lost their player.
While I won’t get carried away, it was a big step in the right direction! Improving every week.
Billy Whitehouse and Harry Cardwell were outstanding

You're the best team we've played so far.

We threw away a 3-1 lead to draw with Gateshead, with their equaliser being an absolute belter in the 4th minute of injury time. To be fair to Gateshead, they should have been out of sight long before that, with Cameron Mason being outstanding for us in keeping the score down.

Still no wins for us this season, but we don't look a bad team, just desperately missing an experienced centre back to organise everyone else.

One of those days today we would have taken apart any team in out league today, every player was on top note, nearly every shot on target went in, we played some superb football all afternoon. Yes Gloster were weakened by injuries but they were not in the fame with 11 so were really under the cosh when they went down to 10.
God I would love to play as well next Saturday, anyone any idea who we play?

Crazy end to our game with Livesey sent off, Jonno sent off and 4 goals in the last 10 minutes with us nicking it with ten men in added time. Not to mention Rhead being the ultimate pantomime villain, you don't see stuff like what he was doing against the crowd very often.

Performance not important for now, just needed to get going with a win and got it.

You know Rhead is in his element when the chant of “you fat Bast*rd is ringing all around the stadium, I don’t think they expected us to attack them with 10 men after they had drawn level in the 88th minute, I would not enjoy watching that route one football every week from them but each to there own.

I certainly dont.

Just relegate us now and be done with it.
The club is rapidly turning in to a mess.

3 out of 3 for Darlo. Losses.

An absolute shambles defensively.

Groves' recruitment has been far too slow and is being found out. We've had 2 forwards on trial during pre season, for weeks, he decided not to sign either of them. We have McClure as our only recognised forward. As I said the other week we haven't replaced Daly or Morgan at the back. We're a team of midgets.

Against York we played some nice tippy tappy football and it worked. But there's zero plan B. We have 5 out injured but 3 of them were known about going into the season and again he's failed to adequately replace them. McGilp is barely southern league standard and we have 2 loanees at the back (Piggott and Galvin) who just aren't up to it. Big changes needed. Fucking embarrassment

Defence was awful in the first half against a poor Bradford side. It's a good job he brought Beeden on at least he tightened the defence up a little bit. How on earth we lost that game it was all one-sided in the second half.

AA said It's the same old story in his interview...

I reckon we’ll pay up for Cardwell this week we are getting desperate.

Anybody could of played tippy tippy by York that day they had 7 out injured including playing last 30 mins without a single defender on pitch.
Will be interesting how many you get next home game.have you played at home since.
Personally think a lot of random results will occur this season due to players missing.

Today we should of hammered Farsley, certainly had the chances then switched off,the ridiculous defending was worse than schoolboy football.
Watson has changed the formation and playing to simply attack because defenders still injured.

We also had 3 first teamers out against you (Jack James, Mensah and O'Sullivan) that day mind you but still. Yeah we lost to Kettering on BHM at home, was over 2000 there again. Don't think we'll get anywhere near that this week with that dross.

Great day in hospitality yesterday.
Watson has played his get out of jail card,Down to Duckworth (right back) injured again in warm up at £penny,he changed formation and put Olly Dyson (striker/number 10/right winger) to right back.In team of week against spenny and stand out player again yesterday.

Hold that thought we could be joining you through the dreaded trap door into the NPL!! :ffs:
Apparently according to the great source of Wikipedia if their are three Southern relegated from the National League Premier then there is only one team relegated from the National League North....
