Pfft! You haven't played anyone of note yet. 3 games against fellow brotherhood teams, won 2 drawn 1, F6 A2. How about, played 4 won 4, F10 A3. Bring on Boxing Day and New Year, FFS.... :ds: :bdick:
Well that’s no surprise, tinpotters always raise their game against the Brothers.

What are the fans saying about replacements? Any preferred/realistic candidates emerging?

Not really. Some think that Flynn would drop down after leaving Newport, I doubt it tbh. The Altrincham Phil Parkinson gets a mention now and then. Not so sure about him myself.

I could see us try and be clever and try and go abroad.

We just need someone who knows this league or general lower league and plays on the front foot with a simple game plan.
Leave it a few days and Steve Bruce will be available.

So I'm 37 years old and other than a 5 year stint of living overseas, I've been going to see Town about 10-20 times a season every season since I was about 14 (before that probably 5-10 times a season). I might need to have a harder think but I'm fairly sure tomorrow is the first time I will be going to see us when we're top of a division.
37??? You're an adult? :fl:

Burchnall, Rusk and Parkinson all dead men walking if they fail to win tomorrow surely
Only one of them has lost three on the trot, Burch must be sailing close to the wind now, lose tomorrow and he's going to start running out of support.

Doesn't Oyeleke have a history of injuries?
He does yea but he's not on the long term injured list... (yet!)

He's one who's a constant micro manage, you wrap the geezer in cotton wool, but he's low key the best footballer in this league so he's worth it. Fingers crossed he doesn't fully break down and end up in plaster

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )

Manny was a great favourite at Aldershot, he came to us from Brentford, with a history of niggling injuries. But a great engine when fit, ran the midfield whoever the opposition. Legs of spaghetti, unfortunately, stopped his career at a higher level.

We were top for a bit around Christmas when we had Hannah and Neilson here but not sure if that’s when you were overseas?

Tbf I think the only one if those with a history of injuries is Asante. The rest is just bad luck (and dirty Wrexham)
Do you go to the match? The one where Chesterfield had 4 booked? We had 1 booked.
As for the tackle it was in the first half and was a fair tackle although our player had to go off soon after with an injury as a result of the tackle.
Your player lasted another 45 minute so either he didnt suffer the injury in the tackle or you have crap medical staff

Nah didn't go, haven't made a comment about the tackle itself, haven't seen it, although by all accounts it should have been a red card for every Wrexham player, staff and fan present. A just punishment for injuring George Carline

It sounds an awful injury and hope he recovers quickly.
It just doesn't make sense the injury was caused just by the tackle as he played on for another 45 minutes

It was a fracture that obviously just loosened and got worse as he moved on it. I can't imagine you realise the full extent of the injury without an xray, and if the player said he felt OK to play on (brave, or silly) I guess you can only trust them on that. A bit of a freak injury probably, I've certainly never heard of a player shattering their knee cap on the pitch before, it is what it is

On the highlights the tackle looks pretty innocuous. If anything Reckord gets the ball first and Carline smashes into him. Just one of those things.

Yeah I was in Korea then. Was trying to think if we were top in 05/06 in League 2?

I’m pretty sure we were at some point, just looked up our results that season and after 9 games we had W6 D1 L2 which could well have put us top as Wycombe had a mental amount of unbeaten games at the start but loads of them were draws.

I‘m normally first in the queue wanting rid of terrible managers, but I hope we don’t sack Burchnall, he’s the least of our troubles.

Irrespective of the result, the tinpotters will still be you.
That's all you've got, huh? Already hedging your bets, you don't sound very confident about the result......Just saying....:fl:

Must’ve been considering we were in the top 3 for the entire season until the 93rd min of the last game  I can just about laugh at it now

Asante and dare I say it Oyeleke who seems to need nursing between games to try and ensure he is fit. I recall Port Vale fans saying we'd have one of the best midfielders in the division IF we could keep him fit.
