Congrats Barnet. Will be a good game as the first one was earlier this year. I’m sure you’ll take heart from coming to Meadow Lane and winning already this year. Do think that today’s game makes you much better prepareD

important thing for me is that Lacey plays ahead of Ben Turner.... we will need some pace at the back

I like Ben Turner, but if they’re fit then it has to be Rawlinson and Lacey at centre back, they’re both fantastic and work as a pair.

Not really sure how we won.
Yeovil unlucky, their keeper gifted us a goal by diving out the way and our second was about as dodgy as you can get.

With only one decent player on the bench I thought we would run out of steam against a strong side with plenty of options. Our midfield looked very rusty and off the pace, hopefully they will be a bit sharper next week.

It should be something of an advantage for us.

The first half today was utterly shocking from both sides and that must have been caused by rustiness, at least in part.

Hard to recreate real competitive matches in training or friendlies so we may be a bit sharper thanks to the 90 minutes today.

Edit: As a Stones supporter in the minority, I'd prefer one of Barnet or Boreham Wood go up. The latter at a preference.

out of interest why?

I’m the opposite - the positives of staying down would be to play a lot more local teams especially Boreham Wood, Wealdstone & hopefully Stevenage. League 2 looks a bit meh

I get it, if you are new to a league and want to visit new grounds then Borehamwood is the one you'd most want to miss out on.

Will Fylde be walking Conf North next year?

Definitely not. Our fans seemed thrilled when we announce a contract extension to our current mob. Oblivious to the fact these players sent us down. We've probably got 3/4 that would shine in the North but Is whether we keep hold of them

I've not missed these refs. Absolute disgrace to award that pen and send Johnston off.

We've lost to what was an atrocious referee decision at 1-0. The concensus was no pen ~~ so no s/o. Went 3-0 down to 3-2 with 10. That's another game we've failed to beat Altrincham. I think we had a couple of training sessions due to our lack of money where Alty had about 3 weeks. Not Alty's fault the ref was crap so good luck against York (who you know how to beat).

Good job Barnet. Any side that can afford to not start a player like Don E has got to be a decent one. Only my opinion of course :shifty:

I think Chester fans who are realists knew we'd get beat. The awful refereeing decision just masked poor team selection. Burton for instance has been crap for 2 seasons now.

I only watched Slough v Dartford. Slough just racked up the corners and long throws without ever testing the keeper, Dartford meanwhile scored 3 goals on the counter. I'd expect them to use a similar strategy at Havant next week.
