I'm guessing Dorking will be splashing the cash again? Who else do you think is likely to challenge you at the top?

Dartford were going well when last season was called off. Ebbsfleet still massively bankrolled on the hope of the theme park. So it‘s hard to imagine being above them, especially as we nearly always lose Kent derbies. Hope Dulwich do better this time, but they seem to lack a hard edge required to survive. Not sure about the rest. Just glad to be back playing football again.

Really sad news to relay this evening as former Hemel and Wingate winger Spencer McCall has passed away aged 26 from a rare form of bone cancer.

That’s such a horrifically young age and I can’t imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. My thoughts also go out to those associated with Hemel, Hendon and Wingate.

.....and long may that continue!

Mind you, from what I've seen of (Maidstone Reject*) Olutande so far, two draws wouldn't be a disappointment.

*I bet all the young boys and girls at the Gallagher have got the song ready - and then he bangs one in from the halfway line in Teniola Time... cue the silence.

We stupidly gave Olutade a 2 year deal and then within 4-5 months management were desperately trying to get rid of him.

I hope he works out for you, but I honestly thought he was pretty crap.

It’s Dorking’s to lose, especially with 25k pw budget. Havant should be there or thereabouts with their spending power. Dartford look strong too. Difficult to see the champions outside those.

The South looks a lot weaker than the North again, is that fair or a product of my ignorance? I dont know a great deal about any of the clubs down here.

Dorking humped us 4-0 at our place in the Trophy at the start of 2020 so I suspect they're still quite decent.

You are probably right. But Dorking would beat most of the NLN and possibly National teams as well.

Good luck to Concord. I know their chairman pulled out but not sure on the impact on their funding

Angel's were ripped apart by a very strong Gravesend and Northfleet. When it went to 4-0 at half time the majority of the away contingent would have been in their right to head for the nearest exit...but a slightly improved second half showing kept the score down to a (hardly) respectable 1-5. Next up an easy home game v Bath City (for any Torquay United fans reading this, I'll start the song for the lovable Ben Gerring)

Gave Dor£ing a good run for their money yesterday. We had sufficient chances to have won comfortably
and only an awful decision by the ref to award a penalty to them levelled the score.
Not getting carried away but unbeaten after 3 is a good start when many had us relegation certs.

Angels v St Albans game abandoned yesterday with about 10 mins to go when a St Albans player suffered a nasty ankle break and unable to be moved until paramedics arrived some 50 mins after the incident. Hats off to the St Albans player who stayed with the injured lad all the time he was down and during his trip to the local hospital. Straight after the incident, the St Alban's keeper went over to look at the injured player and immediately turned around and looked quite shaken from what he had seen.

Even if the game had been re-started after the paramedics had been, I don't think any of the players would have felt like continuing.

Not sure if the game is to be re-arranged or the result to stand (St Albans were leading 1-0 at the time).

Had a similar injury to our CF Jamie Guy several years ago at Eastleigh. Fortunately he recovered ok
and was able to play again for us a couple more seasons. Hope the St.Albans player makes a full recovery.

On a different note our away match v Hungerford on Saturday is postponed due to one of theirs testing positive for bl**dy Covid.

Went to St. Albans 1-0 Havant & Waterlooville today, awful game, two hoofing it into channels and hoping for the best sides.
The highlight of the game was the winning goal, a comical own goal. A daisy cutter of a cross came across the box, there were no St Albans players anywhere to be seen, there was one Havant defender who from around the penalty spot managed to smash it, under no pressure, perfectly, into the bottom corner.
Thought Havant were the better side though, 1st half they hit the bar and had one off the line, their number 10 and 11 looked decent but they spent way too much time hoofing it from the back to their quick forwards who spent more time offside than doing anything else. St Albans also just hoofed it and looked best in the last 15 minutes as Havant threw men forward to find a goal, the Havant keeper pulled off a couple of good saves from 1 on 1 late on.

The highlight of the day for me was having a good chat to Steve Arnold the Southend keeper who was there, he lives in St Albans but was actually there for his brother-in-law, none other than the guy who'd scored the great own goal!

Maidstone United go top after six wins in a row.

Still think Ebbsfleet will be there or thereabouts at the end.

Shame to see Billericay at the bottom of the table.

Who're Dorking? Are they the side with the weird Chairman?

Simon Cox has just taken up his first coaching role their last week, and they have managed 2 draws in their last too games. Bit of work to do if they are to avoid going down.

The Dorking manager was very complementary when we played them at our place in the FA Trophy and the video George mentions is worth a watch.

The weird Chairman, well apart from ours, isn't that the Kings Lynn guy?

No, not the Kings Lynn one. I'm pretty sure the Dorking guy was quite vocal around the curtailing of the season at the time.

Dorking's Chairman is the owner/manager/head coach/kit man/groundsman/everyman to everyone.
