Whats gone on at FGR, seemed to have really turned a corner now back to how it was?

Where do you want me to start? The insistence upon playing Cooper Jr, the constant tinkering with the starting xi, the questionable style of play, constant criticism of players, constant targeting of supporters, disconnect between fans and club, lack of communication from the top, inadequate preparation for the season, terrible summer transfer window?

It's points that count, and yet again we got none which was frustrating as fuck. We actually played alright yesterday, especially second half where if it wasn't for a massive fuck up, then we'd have probably got something.

We need to strengthen, new keeper, cb, another dm and someone who isn't incapable of ever scoring to support Doidge. Effort and spirit definitely there, the team is still commited but we need more quality. Get it and we'll survive I reckon.

Frustrating's the word, not far off but always falling short. In theory couple of additions might be enough but worried about Cooper sticking with his son and pissing off players we've got.

There have been several home games this season where we haven't taken a point, where a draw would probably have been a fair result, Lincoln, Swindon and Luton spring to mind. There have also been a couple of games where we have been absolutely dreadful, against Newport and Carlisle, where the final score flattered us and a far heavier defeat could easily have happened. My main worry is that we aren't so much shot-shy, despite often having more than half of the possession, we fail to get the ball into the last third of the pitch and create many realistic chances to shoot...without Jon Parkin we are never going to score from the half-way line.

Something needs to change very soon, from a range of choices, or we will be returning to the National League at the end of the season.

Many coming up today?
You have the same bit of the ground as your last visit in March.
No so.
Last time behind goal and this time in small corner of stand opposite main stand.
Mind you we didn't need much space, embarrassingly poor turnout.

I can only apologise for the view in that small stand. Cracking view of the Co-op Stand, terrible view of the pitch.

FGR-Lincoln is going to become the Brighton-Palace of the 21st century.
I sincerely hope not. I was treated with friendship and helpfulness by the Lincoln supporters and staff during my visit.
In fact I had a meal with some Imps before game at their local chippy - excellent value and damn good chips.
The heightened rivalry between us has only started after Cowley became your manager. A very good manager of a winning team but he does wind opposition teams up. Unfortunately that has translated to the Lincoln team and supporters.
Some of the Imp fans said he has signed a long term managerial contract and it would be a mega offer to prise him away but Premiership/Championship clubs are awash with money.
I guess if he goes and Lincoln acquire a different type of manager then the perceived rivalry between the two clubs will dissipate. I hope so because I thoroughly enjoyed my visit except obviously the result.

Charlie isn't unpopular in the dressing room at all, from what I've been told. It's also noticable just how often teammates pass the ball too him. at least 70% of Osbourne's passes were to him yesterday.

He isn't our best player by any means, but he's no where near as bad as some make out. He works his bollocks off, and half the time people shout forwards at him when there isn't a forward pass on. Would people prefer him to whack it aimlessly down the pitch instead? The tactics are to blame, not him.

It's not the worst I've been to by a long chalk.
And I stood throughout game so saw everything on pitch.

The Lincoln/FGR 'rivalry' is actually misinterpreted because it's a Lincoln supporters and a Cooper thing, which goes back many years to his Kettering days. Last season going neck and neck just added a bit to it from a Club POV.

You can't get much more winding up than Cooper (or Scott Laird in the last game). He's been nothing but disrespectful towards the Cowleys since they took over (although to be fair, he's never said anything bad about our club like Cowley hasn't about FGR). It's about Cooper and the Cowleys not liking each other (where that needle came from I don't know) and the Lincoln fans not liking Cooper either.

The whole FGR, veggie, Dale Vince thing is a minor side bit. The main beef is Cooper vs Lincoln fans. The two management teams could get on fine and Cooper would still get pelters from us. The bloke is an absolute cock. You do well to find a manager where there are little, of any, good said about him at all his previous clubs.

Same for me as Luke says its much more a dislike of Cooper than your club.
Cooper and Lincoln have had a love/hate relationship since he was at Kettering around a decade, the guy is a grade A clown!

My issue with him is that when he does have a decent pass on it frequently goes wayward. Sure, he works hard without no end product. Being Daddy's choice for set pieces doesn't help, either.

It's a shame as he was a great player and one that I could warm to. Never liked him as a manager though, particularly after what happened at Swindon and Notts County.

At least us fans have something in common we all dislike Cooper! Good luck for the rest of the season. Don't think we'll see you again for a couple of years.

I'm not one for wanting him to pump it forward at random but his final ball and dead ball delivery are lacking and he's prone to getting caught in possession or making mistakes. Not too far off the standard but enough that he's not enough of an asset to justify his place.
