We have needed a new thread on this topic for a couple of months, especially now that we use the number one, proper analytics company - Google. I will use 'TV ratings' as such to list exactly what we did month by month at the end and break it down monthly for everyone.

Key
Hits** -
The amount of times a page is loaded on the website.
Users** - Each individual user that loads the website. (The same person only counts once)
Pages/Session** - This is how many pages people load before leaving the site.
Average Session Duration** - The amount of time on average people use the site for at every visit.

January 2015
Hits - 606,012
Users - 9,422
Pages/Session - 12.68
Average Session Duration - 15:48
Member Count -

February 2015
Hits - 984,473
Users - 12,900
Pages/Session - 10.32
Average Session Duration - 13:53
Member Count -

March 2015
Hits - 1,081,241
Users - 16,346
Pages/Session - 9.28
Average Session Duration - 13:25
Member Count - 1,000.

TV Monthly Rating.
January 2015 - 0.60
February 2015 - 0.98
March 2015 - 1.08

Monthly Users Rating.

January 2015 - 9,422
February 2015 - 12,900
March 2015 - 16,346

I have added the bottom two seperately, because they are frankly the most important ones. We expect the hits to probably take a little bit of a dip after this month until next month, but now that we officially sit very top of the google search rankings for the term 'Football Forum' - we expect the new users to keep getting larger. We actually broke our own record yesterday for NEW Unique Users (Around 4,000). So long as Users is constantly improving and our 'TV rating' continues to steadily grow over long periods of time, we are on the correct and proper track. I will start taking count of members at the end of each month from the last day of this month.

All in all, very good news. The fact we have over-taken everybody to take the top spot in the Google search for 'Football Forum' is absolutely extraordinary. Thanks to everyone for helping us along and keeping the community together. Let's hope we can continue to build from this day forward.

Back for the April update...

April 2015
Hits - 1,238,214 (+ 200,000)
Users - 17,728 (+ 1,300)
Pages/Session - 9.48
Average Session Duration - 14:33
Member Count - 1,122

Leaving things looking like this for the year so far...

TV Monthly Rating.
January 2015 - 0.60
February 2015 - 0.98
March 2015 - 1.08
April 2015 - 1.23

Monthly Users Rating.

January 2015 - 9,422
February 2015 - 12,900
March 2015 - 16,346
April 2015 - 17,728

So another great month, around 120 new members, almost 200,000 more hits and almost 1,400 more users checked the site out than they did in March. We expect these numbers to tail off through May - June - July, but August should give us an idea of progression over the summer as people come back out the summer slumber for the new season!

Cheers.

Surely those numbers should only increase with the acquisition of TFF's domain?

Over time, for sure. But it takes Google 2-3 months to properly pick up those backlinks again. Searches showed that TFF still gets around 200 searches a month, if they convert into members and with our own growth, then the hits should slowly crank up. It's just a process of time basically.

Highest traffic day since our launch, today. We've broken that record 3 times in the last two weeks.

Good stuff.

So then another good month on the face of things. The fact that we only slightly improved on the hits this month is great considering lots of people won't bother to check the website once actual matchday fixures have finished - which they did for the FL/Conference 4-5 weeks ago now. The Users rating is outstanding and that's where we will be looking in the next couple of months until the season returns. 8,000 extra sets of eyes checking the site - that is google starting to rank the website for numerous key phrases and the acquisition of the TFF domain starting to work it's magic.

Looking forward to what we do in August particularly as that will give us our first indication (first fixtures of the new season) as to where we have actually improved and by how much.

All positive.

Sorry, my fault for not updating these a few weeks back as I said I would, got sidetracked!

Site is going very well though. Constantly increasing in page views, traffic seeing the site, signups are good - especially in the second half of the season.

Posts look they have took a dip unfortunately though.

Always going to be the case through certain periods of the year, on certain days. When a new site jumps online, there was always going to be more attention..it will dip and grow etc all throughout the year and over the years.

One thing that is noticeable, is how site traffic picks up from Christmas onwards - presumably because it's the business end of the season.

The online record was smashed yesterday, by almost 100.
