3 points and job done. Not a classic by all accounts.

Any recommendations for pub near the station of the ground where I'd be fine in a Wrexham top? Aside from Hooters.

Thought we looked a bit flat, but we got the W and really should have won by more. Need to play better than that though.

Vat and Fiddle, thirty secs from the station and in the right direction for the ground. Often seen people in opposition colours in there so shouldn’t think you’ll have any problems.

Shite game, but we got the job done. 3 points clear of Halifax and still a game in hand on 3rd place Wrexham, got to be happy with that. Will be able to watch the results come in tomorrow stress free!! Man of the match was Jeff King by a distance, so good to have him back. Good to see Mandeville get the goal aswell, just as I was saying yesterday about coming up with some big moments under Rowe.

Thought some of our better players had off days today, Oyeleke and Tshimanga especially which has been unheard of so far this season, so we’ll let them off!!

Attention turns to the small task of Chelsea (a) then…

There's a block of about 5 just north of the station, by the canal. They were all full of our's when we went, good time had by all

I thought Tshimanga was pretty poor against Halifax too. Head turned perhaps?

No doubt he’s allowed a few off days though given his performances so far this season.

Nah not for me, I think we’ve got to remember these are still National League players and occasionally they will have off days I guess. I thought against Halifax he was starved of service really, but today he seemed off the pace, looked knackered even! Maybe he was one of our covid cases from a few weeks back and not properly recovered yet? Curtis Weston definitely one of those and he’s been nowhere near it since he came back, thought he was pants again today

He has played practically every minute hasn’t he - so could just be knackered as you say. I’m confident he will be with us til the summer tbh and it seems Rowe isn’t worried about it either.

He is probably more concerned on how we can go about replacing Danny Rowe and Jack Clarke. Both huge losses for the season. I’d be bringing in a CF if we are down to Kabby/Asante/Payne/Tyson. Only 50% of those 4 are actual starters.

More Covid in our squad so tomorrow’s game is off, especially with unvaccinated players having to self-isolate.

This is going to be an ongoing issue and will see us dragged into the relegation mire.

Yeah exactly, now Asante is back, once we’ve got him into full fitness we may be able to give Tshimanga a rest every now and then when necessary as Rowe has preferred the one upfront formation for the majority of the season now.

I still think when Asante is back firing on all cylinders that them two should be starting together all the time, I think they’ve got the potential to form a very good partnership.

I think Rowe’s priority in the market is a 10 in the Jack Clarke mould definitely. In regards a striker with there being no actual transfer window in this league, if there was to be an injury to Asante or Tshimanga we’d be able to go out and replace them at any point really… so probably not much point signing someone on a decent wage and potential transfer fee just to sit on bench as 3rd choice forward!

Reckon we’ll see any outgoings? I think JR has had enough of McCourt and wouldn’t be surprised if he departed. We’ve not heard anything about Luke Croll either have we? I know he only signed a short term deal to cover the injuries which I’d presumed was literally a month by month contract?? I’d say he’s definitely worth a longer deal til end of season but with Gunning and Maguire now coming back, it’s probably unlikely.

The unjabbed lot in your squad must be severely pissing off the management now

I like Croll, out of all our CBs I'd say he's the most comfortable with the ball at this feet and I'd keep him for that alone. Rowe says he's still not over his injury but should be back soon. Definitely need a #10 I'd say, but maybe having a crowd or not at the Chelsea game will dictate if we can afford one. It's not like in January there's a glut of clubs going 'hey we've got this really good attacking midfielder, wants the ball, finds pockets of space in front of the defence, spots a lovely pass and is full of confidence, want him?'

I see Parky says Wrexham have a couple of new Covid cases, and are awaiting a (presumably pcr) result on another. Could be a couple of interesting line-ups tomorrow!

I reckon both Burchnall and Parky playing the game here… you just know full strength available line ups are going to be named on both sides come 2pm tomorrow!!

With Rodrigues already out suspended I’d be very surprised if many, if any, of what I deem 4 or 5 key others are too… but we’ll see! Hoping for a cameo from Michael Doyle on the bench.

Definitely should be starting 2 up front once Akwasi is up to speed. I’d still like us to have another option up there now Rowe is out - but it would be a luxury.

Being greedy I’d like a CAM and a CF to come in.

Re. Outgoings - possibly, it’s just whether we need to move anyone on or not. McCourt is the obvious one but perhaps worth keeping in case Oyeleke and Weston suffer injuries. Can’t imagine Jak is on huge wages.

I would definitely be keeping Croll, he’s excellent.
