Very glad we’ve avoided the inevitable carnage this weekend.

Very glad we’ve avoided the inevitable carnage this weekend.

Everyone seems to have hit form at the same time. We all thought a draw at Wrexham a week ago would’ve been just fine, but that would’ve left us right in the midst of the carnage behind us.

We’ll definitely go to Bromley to win, we haven’t shown any other inclination under Burchnall really. Whether it’s with our strongest team is another matter.

This isnt impossible for us. 10th sounds like outsiders but since we play 7th. We don't need Bromley and Eastleigh to lose draws will cut it IF we win.

If Eastleigh had won we would have needed both Wrexham and Eastleigh to lose to get in.

Those 2 dropped points open up carnage this weekend. We probs still wont get in but it's made it an exciting game instead of a dead rubber.

Now Chesterfield. Which one of your galaticos should we be most worried about

Altrincham you beauties
Alty should have won it, battered Eastleigh second half. The manager finally decided to stop messing about trialling fringe/loan players and play the side that did so well earlier this season. Fancy us to beat Torquay on saturday,... not that it matters now.
As a bystander saturday is going to be very interesting and is someone gonna miss out in the 90th minute :dk:

Rowe ALWAYS scores at The Shay. You'd know that if you were a real fan. :dk:

Our only galactico is out injured, DomTenton! So you're grand we'll be pushovers

As it is, I think we need to not lose, and match the result of Eastleigh and Bromley? Obviously we need to go to win, but just thinking of the permutations.

I think you two should play for a draw.

We don't need Eastleigh and Bromley to lose which has renewed my confidence a little.. I don't think I remember us being in last day drama since we got relegated on the last day in 2016. In terms of a play off battle I don't think we have period.

It's going to be a tasty game. As with you last week. I'm just glad to be actually going into a game

Just noticed that means we can’t finish 7th, so would avoid the Stockport/Hartlepool route. Not sure why, but I feel a lot more comfortable going to Torquay than either of those two.

What a shame we can't open up the stadium properly, we'd have got the biggest crowd for a League match since we played Huddersfield on Boxing Day 1979.... :ds:

I think one of the seventh spot scramblers are going to win, no idea which one though.
Playing for the draw looks like a terrible strategy.

You'd best turn up against Bromley. A draw will do. Just don't lose.

We still need a point to make sure we finish fifth and are at home in the first game, which is quite a big deal with fans back, so we have something to play for.

I think we might make two or three changes to give a couple of players we might need in the play-offs some match fitness and rest one or two who’ve looked a bit tired, but nothing dramatic.

Rodriguess limped off with a knee injury so wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't figure.

Got to agree with the Pieman there (not often that happens, ngl).

If Eastleigh do make the playoffs I wouldn't be remotely worried about facing them. They looked fit and worked hard, but were toothless. Should have done them really, it took their soft goal to drive us into action. Always nice to put a dent in the Vision though, it's been a while.

I think the last team to be relying on us for a result on the last day of the season was Hartlepool the year they er went down.

So good luck with that lads.

Yeah even if he’s fit he’s the obvious one to rest. Also worth giving Rawlinson a game to get sharp again, as we’re probably going to need him.

Well, it's given us a glimmer of hope. I could see it being a mental game on Saturday for us and Chesterfield. We need to win and Chesterfield can't exactly rely on drawing. Could see it being a really open game

Its marvelous it really is. If I could remember who told me about the ignore button I'd thank them but its awsome.

Chesterfield defo can't rely on a draw. Although the only way we can get in is if they all draw so its abit contradictory. Unless Wrexham really do bottle it In the capital.

I mean for a team in 10th. The set if results we need to happen are not exactly impossible or unreasonable. Especially since we play a team that's involved.
I've talked myself into a let down here. But it's nice to have a chance. Little old Halifax shouldn't be here anyway right?
