Granted it is a trek but I am surprised that's all you took considering the form you are in.

A trek, and shit weather. I think it suffered from being a rearranged game as well. Some people had already made it down there in November when it was postponed for bad weather so may have been unwilling to go again. But yeah, slightly dissapointing numbers (says me who didn't go)

I might have missed a number or 2 but has this seen the momentous occasion of Micky Mouse Macc taking the most away fans in the league this weekend?

Batten down the hatches everyone, the end of the world is nigh!

The tannoy at the game announced it as 12, but I definitely counted 16. It's bad news when there are more players travelling than supporters!
We've all been there, haven't we?! Well we have at least

Excellent work mate, cheers for that. Hopefully if we keep up at the top end of the table we'll be able to sustain that current average.

Pretty good considering we've been bad on the pitch for a while now.

Thanks as always Cardsfan.

Halifax away in February should bump ours up a bit, pretty much everyone I've spoken to about it is going so should be rammed there.

Our average should hold to what it is now - Cheltenham and FGR should be massive games and of course we are all hoping Tranmere is going to be as well...

Think ours is pretty decent considering this is our 3rd year of being very average on the field. Thought Lincoln's would be higher.

Not aided by having Aldershot, Barrow, Welling, Boreham Wood and Braintree i.e. circa 3 hour drives on midweek nights. Or one of our 'local' games, Guiseley, moved to a Friday night for TV.

Indeed our second closest away game in terms of distance at the mo is Macc at 78 miles.

Away trips to Tranmere, Southport and the Manchester area clubs should keep ours around where it is.

The standout there for me is Barrow...thety have to travel 100 miles before they reach any sort of civilisation...

Our second closest is similarish at 87 miles (Halifax) then Guiseley at 89.
Seems a lot of long treks south in this league for us Northern boys to try and get to, so with that in mind I think both Lincolns and ourselves are pretty good averages.

I would be amazed if our average stays as high as that, the number has clearly been boosted by the numbers we took to Cheltenham and Kiddy, although we did take over 600 to Oxford last Sunday. Looking at our remaining fixtures the only one that I would expect us to take significant numbers to is Torquay, other than that it depends how high up the table we are as the season draws to a close...some of those away fixtures involve pretty lengthy round-trips. Having just checked the teams who we still have to play at home, many of whom are very well supported, I'm looking forward to the second half of the season.

Half way through the season and we're the 7th best away supported club in the National League. Not bad for the team with easily the smallest catchment area.

Dover didn't announce an official figure for away support last week (although it was segregated), but there were about 200 of us there I think. I will have a look in the programme tomorrow and if there is a figure i'll post it if not then I think we'll have to go with an estimate.

Yet the northern greats are all in the top ten. FGR are only there because they took 800 twenty miles up the road to Cheltenham for a top 2 clash. The rest of their stats only serve to highlight the utter pointlessness of their existence in this division. They'd be lower in that list than Bromley otherwise. :£

I've kept a track of the Conference North. But so many guesses and figures plugged off forums/twitter due to very few games being segregated. FCUM/Stockport well clear of the rest. Our own away support down slightly despite more trips within 100 miles (Nuneaton/Corby/Alfreton) and Gainsborough being on a Saturday this year

Your travelling away support mate is better than most league 2 sides and some league 1. The loyalty of your fans is exceptional.

Is that right? Stalybridge had 1300 at FCUM when they've only taken more than 50 to any other game once and they only usually get 400-500 at home games?
