If 59 Woking at Lincoln equates to "another excellent following", how would you rate 120 Bromley at Gateshead for a dead rubber?

Hahahaha...fair play! I've purposely steered myself away from this as it can easily appear in the 'willy waving' category and despite how neutral I actually am as soon as you nail yourself to a specific mast all objectivity is easily abandoned ;-)
Bromley supporter in Yorkshire - did you get lost? or did the nice northern air that you get there, Lancashire and Cumbria agree with you :hypo:

65 Southport enjoyed the Hampshire sunshine. And the three points.

Not been able to see how many Cheltenham were at Macclesfield. Appears three were arrested though, with Cheshire Police allegedly being very heavy-handed for no reason*

*I must stress I wasn't there so am only going by what I've heard and read online.

Walkley_Owl has kindly drawn up this table of away averages with distance travelled factored in for a more 'true' average as i was curious to know if we would still be 1st with this factored in.
I actually thought our own average would go down but it actually goes up a little and as expected teams with more distance to travel like Torquay Dover Gateshead Barrow etc are all much improved.
This was based on DJS last set of averages posted so ours will be lower now with Dover and Woking played since and Tranmere's will be higher as they took a great number all the way to Eastleigh but it still gives a fairly good idea.

Interesting nice one Walkley.

Whilst we may travel less than Grimsby you will have significantly more supporters based in other areas of the country which the table can't account for.

Is that true or a windup? If true very poor support for a team in play offs

I'm actually being told that the guy got in for free as he was part of their media team. So no paying fans. In that case they actually brought none!!

Why is this so frequently brought up as a factor? Can Chester fans not get jobs in London or Leeds? Or do Grimsby fans have a disproportionate propensity for abandoning their home town?

Surely the amount of exiles a club has is roughly proportionate to the amount of fans a club has in total, so it's not really an issue worthy of note.

1 North Ferriby at Gloucester. Yes one solitary supporter. Absolutely pathetic, pointless bankrolled club.
It's a scandal this joke of a club could be promoted to this league in a few weeks. It exposes the failings of the powers that be to tackle this cancer of "bankrolling" that is destroying non league football. I have no issues with a minnow that recruits players commensurate with its "natural" means and develops them by good husbandry and coaching and by these means rises above what would be its natural level but these sort of outfits are taking the absolute piss out of the rest of us. :£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

I just assumed there were financial fair play rules down here, but apparently not.

I dont think there is in non league. There would not be the likes of margate, ebblesfleet going on way they do if financial fair play rules existed.

Ferriby have average crowds of 300 and an entire population of about 3,500, so it's not a surprise, although you normally expect at least a car full. Lowest I've seen at Boston was Vauxhall Motors' four or Leigh RMI's two I think
