I think the extra tickets will go in to the Tom Mcroy Stand.

I think the Alfreton fans will be in the Main Stand and Tommy bradley Stand. Hope you manage to get some tickets but I wouldnt recommend you trying to get some tickets for the home end to be honest

Welcome to the forum by the way too.
Thanks, I was on the old Football Forum for years although didn't post that often.
Last two visits to Scunthorpe I've been in the home seats down the side, surely Alfreton can't be more challenging than that for a 52 yr old plus 16 yr old daughter?

There will be 300+ in the home end if we don't get given more tickets.

Then surely there is the room to accommodate an extra 500?
Not so sure. With the importance of the fixture and the feel of a local derby to an exent Wayne will want to keep some seats free for a few extra home fans who may fancy a visit.

Easily, I can remember us taking a healthy number to Southport when we were just pushing for the play-offs on a Friday night TV game. Think it's more than 1,200 though Les? I thought we had that full open away end and part of the stand on the right and the open standing on the left?

On the Non League Grounds Guide it says that the away terrace holds 1200 but there are 300 seats for away fans. If the demand is there then they may give us the side stand to the left of the away terrace as well maybe.

Anyway, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here so we'll wait and see the results of the next 3 games first.

They'd easily let you have the away terrace, the away seating and half of the side terracing, surely?

Good luck all squeezing into the Victoria Inn to watch our game before hand! The projector turns off every 10 mins or so as well - very frustrating on Saturday lol!

The 1,500 terrace tickets for kidderminster have all been sold now they're on general sale and 400 seats left out of the 1,100.. Should be 2,600 gasheads in kidderminster that day and a few in the home end. Sorry grimsby we had to go one better ;)

I'm just wondering how all of those 2500 Grimbarians are going to find it going down that muddy slope to the 2 turnstiles that they will have to use at Alfreton..

Even though we've been given 2,600 we won't get more will we? Stadium holds 6,500 and you get around 1,500 at home which leaves around 2,000 empty places. Understand that it's hard to move season ticket holders though

Almost certainly going to be a delayed kick-off for Alfreton vs Grimsby.

Hopefully it wont be of the same proportions as last year after Grimsby were stuff in traffic and the game was delayed for a whole hour.

Good job it's not midweek! Our game away at Barrow on a Wednesday night didn't finish until nearly 11pm!

Presumably that wasn't for crowd troubles though ;)

No I actually remember that, was pretty ridiculous at the time! Didn't the team go straight home afterwards as well?!

You will comfortably outnumber us. At the moment a lot of season ticket holders haven't even been going. Our Braintree win and the bigger opposition might bring a few back, but I reckon there will only be about 1,400 home fans.

I imagine you've probably been given almost half of the East Stand seating, but logistically it might be difficult to relocate the season ticket holders in there so I'm not sure you'll get much more to be honest.

We've been given 1,100 seats. Shame we couldn't have more really. Good for both clubs. I'm sure your season ticket holders would move a long a bit if it means your club would make another 7 grand. Not as easy as that though is it

Yeah, personally I'd give you the whole of the East Stand and work a way around it with the ST holders. Fit them in the Main Stand somewhere and then just sell enough tickets for the remainder. We have nothing to play for so may as well make a bit of a payday of it.

Haha, no. Heinz lorry overturned on the M6 I believe and there was hundreds of tins of baked beans just sitting there. Team didn't get there until half 8 I believe, and kicked off just after 9. They did indeed leave after the game, getting back to the ground about 6 am. Daish got back to his home in Hampshire about 8, 24 hours after leaving!

And we only drew.

if you give us the whole stand and we get 3,600 at an average price of 15 quid a ticket and say half of those spend a fiver on progame and food you'd be looking at a £60,000 plus play day which would be huge for you

I can understand Kiddiminster season ticket holders, but if we get our new ground and there was an expected 12,000 away following and could only cater for 6,000. And no meaning to us,then it would beneficial our club to accommodate them. But to make it fair for home ST holders, we could issue a voucher for £5- 10 for food for an unreserved ticket in another home stand. Then everyone wins.

If the ST holder doesn't want food nor wants to move they don't win.

Apparently someone tried to get kidderminster tickets but only selling to females and kids for the family stand. What the hell?

Is your family stand the stand we've been given or is it the other seats opposite?
