None of this North or South division stuff, just some good old fashioned national division stuff

Boreham Wood v Wrexham
Chester v Dover
Dagenham & Redbridge v Tranmere
Forest Green Rovers v Barrow
Gateshead v Torquay
Lincoln v Braintree
Macclesfield v North Ferriby United
Maidstone v Solihull Moors
Southport v Bromley
Sutton United v Guiseley
Woking v Eastleigh
York v Aldershot

Some interesting games this weekend. Danny Cowley up against his old club, who've already sacked his replacement. Can the new guy at Braintree pull up any trees. He'll be racking his brains on how to do so

Can Barrow maintain their good form in an early season 6 pointer? At the other end of the table there's another early season 6 pointer at Haig Avenue between Southport and Bromley.

I wouldn't be shocked if this is the week Guiseley get their first win of the season. Or it could be a good chance to put last weekends disapointment behind us

I expect another humiliating loss at BWOOD

Luckily they have no fans so it should pass unnoticed.

We've got the 2nd of our matches against fellow promoted clubs, and I feel this has goals written all over it. Solihull seem to be scoring and conceding a lot, and though we're higher up the table we've yet to keep a clean sheet at home. Now I've said that it'll probably be a dull goalless draw

Clash of footballing ideologies at TNL, Mark Cooper's TOTAL FOOTBALL v Paul Cox's HOOFBALL.

Barrow's team of high pressing giants are exactly the sort of side that could do us damage, if we show we can pass our way round them and win BULLISHNESS will be back. In a big way.

Uh-oh, some posters won't like this.

Good to see another poster, besides myself, taking a stand against it.

I for one don't care if you continue to post on this forum but I do care about divisional etiquette

Believe it or not I care about forum etiquette too! However there have been others who have posted in Match Threads about teams not even a member of the National League who havent attracted the same attention as I.

Our game will be billed as some grudge match between us and Braintree, but I don't think Braintree have any backroom staff who were at the Club last season and only 3 players from last season.

We have a good record against them - 8 wins on the bounce now I think (P10 W8 D1 L1) and we generally score 3 goals against them!

At a family wedding, so I'll not be at the game.

You're just the biggest culprit. I noted it last season (when I was only posting Sutton match stuff in the appropriate thread)

Bit of a selection problem for us. Connor Essam is ineligible and Nathan Ralph is suspended if his red card didn't get overturned. Matt Tubbs will surely start - looking forward to that.

Given that you've actually scored a decent amount of goals for your league position, and given the "calibre" of the strikers on your books, I take it creating chances hasn't been too much of a problem?

If you create chances for him, Tubbs will score goals. Don't expect him to do much else though. He looked good in pre-season and the first few games, but got rotated and started losing his sharpness. Could do well for you with regular playing time.

Yeah, we're not struggling to score goals but we aren't converting chances as regularly as we could be. That was the difference between us and Tranmere last week. Hopefully Tubbs will give us that edge.

It's harsh to expect him to start scoring instantly given his lack of minutes. There's seven games this month so he'll be getting plenty of time.

Hopefully. Not a bad plan by FGR, really. Loan him out to a team in the bottom half that has potential to be a decent side, who will play him a lot. If he turns good, take him back. Similar to what Cheltenham did with us last season with Holman, albeit wasn't their player originally but knew they could outspend us for him. In the end, Holman got them over the line for the title.

Boreham Wood is my closest London game so have been planning on going for a while, but really not sure if I can be arsed.

Fully expecting another loss to nil, or maybe at best a 0-0 with Mills saying how fantastic we played.

You hope but I doubt it.

Don't underestimate Borehamwood, they may not get any fans and be an absolute shithouse of a club, but they are a decent, well organized football team. Not many teams will go there and win this season.

Shows how bad things have got for Wrexham when 10th placed Boreham Wood are clear favourites to beat them with most bookies.
