How's Molesley been doing so far? Has he been setting up for 0-0 or is there attacking intent there?
Your home win will come against Southend, if Molesely is still in charge by then it'll be 3-0 at least.

We've tried to attack and most of his signings have been attack minded players, but results haven't improved (we've lost every game apart from Dover) and performances have been mixed. If i'm being honest I expected a bigger impact than we've had.

This weekend is a good time to be playing us honestly. Despite our recent good run of form we are down to the absolute bare bones and on Saturday we could potentially have all of the following missing (6/7 of which you could argue would be in our best XI when fit):

Definites:
Hollis
Denton
Carline
Asante
Weston
Clarke

Doubts:
Gunning
Kellerman
Khan
Rowe (ill)

The loan market HAS to be under serious consideration now
Loan market? Run out of furlough grants?

Stockport player has issued an apology for his challenge on Widdowson.

Barnet manager was not happy after the game, expect a charge from the FA is coming his way for saying the referee was useless.

Why are Notts not clear at the top of the league with all the players they’ve got that ‘shouldn’t be playing at this level’ !?

Grimsby shitting themselves for the 2nd coming of prime Barca this weekend!

ODL, if there is one poster on here guilty of bigging up his own players, I contend it is you, sir!

After seeing the highlights for last night's game it appears that a couple of Christian Dibble specials gifted the first two goals. Hes such a terrible keeper I do not know why we retained him.

Also it was clearly Mullin who elbowed the Maidenhead player not Bryce Hosannah. So the referee hasn't seen the offence because they look nothing like each other. We should appeal but do we really want Mullin out for three games? (I think its better to come clean personally)

If you look closely, you will actually see it was Christian Dibble who elbowed the Maidenhead player.

Pretty sure that’ll just get picked up as part of the referee’s post-match assessment thing and the three game ban just gets switched over.

If we don't come clean then it's a case of WHAT WREXHAM DID.

Laughable refereeing of course.

That’s incredible. Hosannah wasn’t even close, and well, there is the other issue as well that makes it even more bizarre he and Mullin were mixed up. And Hosannah screaming ‘I wasn’t even the fucking one that did it’ at their bench, which is more than clearly audible on the highlights as the camera is about 10 yards away. Does he then add ‘10’, Mullins number?

Remarkable stuff, possibly a new low in NL reffing standards. Can’t see Mullin getting away with a ban there either.

Don't worry too much, you've got us on Saturday. You won't need a manager to get 3 points

Agreed ...they certainly do not look at all similar, but he was close to Mullin, to be fair.

Right under the noses of both benches who must have seen exactly who was responsible, but said nothing.

Surprised Devonshire didn't correct the ref, as Mullin the "star" player.

Hossanah definitely did the "holy" thing and took one for the team.

It’s not about coming clean video evidence will point the finger(elbow) at Mullin.

There was nothing more guaranteed than the Maidenhead highlights cutting to Reynolds and McElhenney at some point during the video.

The ref is looking right at the incident and does nothing. Staggering incompetence to not give something initially and then to not even remember what happened.

Got to be a reversal on the red card, Mullins got to get the ban, fourth official living down to fourth official expectations as ever, no help whatsoever to the ref even though he's stood three yards from the incident.

Need Taylor back with no McAtee though as unlike LJL he can make things happen, LJL is more the guy the ball gets played into his chest/feet and he lays if off to the runner 5 yards away, if no one is with him like last night it's pointless.
I honestly don't have an unreasonable agenda against LJL, but he can't lay it off to runners if he can't get hold of the ball or win it. Surely, what he "brings to the side" should be that second or two of holding the ball that allows Sousa and Bapaga the time to get there. Sousa and Bapaga lacked that cutting edge on Tuesday, but they ran their socks off. I'm crossing my fingers that we might see the Lenny of old on Saturday now he's got another match under his belt but I'm incredibly sceptical.
Big night for the Stones and a victory well earned rather than an off night for Grimsby. Usually when an unfancied side causes an upset you get the "we had an off night" or "we never got going". The reality is the management team got their game plan spot on and with a depleted side thoroughly deserved the 3 points.

The usual disparaging nonsense from a few BELT fans and their press "..played like it was our cup final" "humble facilities" "Grimsby's first real experience of non-league football". We're all non-league aren't we?
That's shite from the local rag, but they're about as detached from the club as they have ever been in my life. As has been said, that's a new journalist who isn't from the area and has no connection to our club other than his new job. His articles are clickbait articles that regurgitate interviews that the fans have already seen/listened to through either the official channels or the local BBC coverage. Nevertheless, apologies about that. It's embarrassing.

Will say however though, that I've not seen any of this from our fans at all, so I'm guessing what you've seen is on Twitter, as I don't really use that. Thefishy has been refreshingly calm after our two defeats this season.
I could hear those 75-100 supporters you mentioned loudly from the other end although I thought there were more involved. All the singing was coming from Couch Corner, didn't hear anything from those in the seated stand.

Jack Cook had his best game in a while last night, reading of the play was superb and his gangly legs just stopped Grimsby countless times from trying to pass it through us. Considering that was Buse's first start since the first game of the season, his work ethic and willingness to get stuck into any 50-50 will really endear himself to supporters. That performance now makes him undroppable for the Barnet game in two and a half weeks time.

I did think Grimsby would be more of a physical side and when they pressed high early on I thought we were going to be in a spot of bother but the extra man in midfield allowed us to play through the press successfully. I also thought they'd get a grilling at HT and would really be on it second half but other than the header from the FK (which should have been scored) I don't remember Wickens saving a shot in anger.

As for the atmosphere from the home end, for the first time in years I didn't stand behind the goal when kicking down the slope (instead was in the stand adjacent by the corner flag) but the second half rendition of Stuart Maynard's Blue and White Army went on for ages, similar to what we did at Notts County.

Big win for us considering Barnet, Maidenhead and Weymouth also won. 6 point buffer from the bottom 3 is nice, now to maintain it.
Sorry, I meant within a radius of about 75-100 around where I was stood that there were only a couple of people trying to make noise. I was on the other side of the seats in the small bit around the side. Some massively restricted views of the far right side of the pitch at the back of that terrace by the way.

And yeah we're not really particularly physical in midfield either, more hard working. We press and win the ball and are aggressive and energetic but we're not a big unit midfield. Granted, we didn't press well on Tuesday though.

Also, yep that Stuart Maynard's Blue and White Army chant must have been non-stop for about 15 minutes, maybe longer. Impressive!
Not seem that, is that the Grimsby telegraph?

If so that's not local press anymore, in fact not even sure why it exists and they have just got a new "local" sports reporter for us as the last one left. I followed him on Twitter for the first two weeks and he talked more about Sheff Wed than us so I unfollowed.

They will spend the whole week writing articles from the post and pre match interviews and turn a 5 min interview into 5 articles one per day with one quote each, complete waste of time.

Edit
Just looked on his Twitter and it was him who wrote the "cup final" article. Tit
He's on borrowed time surely. All the positive things to write about and he gets it spectacularly wrong for the second time in as many weeks. He seemed fairly sound when he was on DN35 the other week.

As I said not seen so only going of commentary and reports and they suggest LJL was up front isolated with no one around him. Even Hurst (who admittedly defends him more tha me) said both McAtee and then Bapaga where not close enough to him.

Watch the highlights from Yeovil and every time the ball went to LJL he took a touch to control and then a pass to someone five yards away each time all leading to goal scoring chances.

But can they even reverse it if we don't appeal? Wrexham fans seem to think they won't, fans of other clubs are saying Mullin will receive a ban. Everyone seems to be basing their opinions around what they hope will happen at the moment.

The English FA won't get a say either. It'll be down to the FAW.

If it's mistaken identity, it'll be corrected regardless of appeals.

It does make you wonder what these refs are actually looking at to miss something as obvious as that. It can hardly be any clearer and that's before taking into account it's the wrong player he's sent off and being on the halfway line, it's close to the linesman and fourth official as well.

Is there an argument Wrexham are better off owning up anyway longer term, from a team spirit point of view? I’d be fucking raging if I’d been sent off in a case of mistaken identity and my club refused to appeal because they thought the guy who actually did it is better than me.

Why wouldn't they, though?
By the time they get round to it, Hosannah will have already served at least 1 match of his 3 match ban. At worst, Mullin misses 2 games against Harrogate and King's Lynn but by then, Hosannah has already been punished despite being proven innocent. It all gets a bit messy then. I don't think they'll bother.

Team spirit would be a lot worse if we were failing to score. Hosannah will rightly be annoyed, but I'd expect him to be professional enough to know that by taking the 3 match hit, he's helping us out immensely.

Parkinson should probably ask Mullin to take Hosannah out for a fancy meal or something.
